Lions & Gays & Swingers OH MY!

You know it's a glorious day when you connect to Massresistance and she leads you to gay cruising spots! Who do you think at Article 8/Massresistance had the pleasure of surfing the internet for gay cruising spots? Do you think they made a road trip? Of course they don't link directly to the site but they do tell you exactly how to get there:
We will not post the direct link to that website, since it is disgusting and pornographic. But if you want to know where this activity is taking place in your own community, you can Google it directly ("gay cruising" + Massachusetts).
I looked through some of the places and the responses actually seemed like jokes to me. Then I wondered how many "straight" men are going to these places. You know the type, married with children, signs marriage petitions, not comfortable with being gay that they have to skip out on the wife and go to these places to have anonymous sex. My gut reaction is that the people going to these places do not identify as gay either. (Do you remember the Christian Preacher who said one thing but did another???)

Do you think they happened to Google (swingers + Massachusetts) for a list of heterosexual couples who "swing" too? You might find a couple you even go to church with too!

Still More Stories You Won't Read

on Article 8 or Massresistance:

Once again, I'm not saying that all heterosexuals are bad....wink wink.

If you're a first time reader you might think that I am heterophobic (is that a word?). Alas, I'm just doing what the anti-gay people like Article 8, Massresistance, AFA, FRC, etc... do, posting outrageous articles and trying to stereotype a whole group of people from some wild stories. While the stories are true I would never purport to blame all heterosexuals for the actions of a few.

But We Like Brett Somers!

My husband and I were listening to Massresistance: The Radio Show this morning. No we weren't doing penance. We hadn't listened to the painfully boring show in awhile (Paul Harvey kicked them out of their usual timespot) but today our Saturday's gay agenda changed.

And for one brief second we felt sad for Brian Camenker. Oh it's not like you think. We felt sad for him like we feel sad for the "reality TV stars" who are in the media for one brief shining moment then pushed to the dustbin of mediocrity. Brian Camenker is like Brett Somers, a has been that never was. He's like the child jumping up and down in the back of the room screaming for attention while the teacher moves on, or in this case, Massachusetts moves on. Oh, he's called upon to make the occasional weird comment in some obscure newspaper but for the most part his 13 minutes of fame is gone (personally I think he peaked on Comedy Central).

Today they complained (for a good part of the hour) about the two new principals hired by the Newton School System because they are openly gay. The thought that these two individuals were qualified never entered the conversation.

Talk about real sadness.

Dr. King dreamed of a day when people would be judged by the content of their character; and not the color of their skin. I believe his late wife, a civil rights leader in her own right and a champion of GLBT equality and dignity, would have added "and who you choose to love" as part of Dr. King's dream. Cheers to the Newton School system that seeks to hire the best and brightest without regard to color, creed, or sexual orientation; and jeers to those still stuck in the past.

Has beens that never were indeed.

Church Hires Law Firm To Find Legal Way To Discriminate

Yesterday's GLOBE reported that the Catholic Church of Massachusetts is hiring a law firm to sue the state so that the Catholic Church can discriminate however it wishes. In this specific case the law firm will explore legal and political strategies for opting out of gay adoptions. It must be because same sex couples are taking away so many children from needy heterosexual couples. Oh, and how is the church going to pay for the law firm that is going to explore ways for the Catholic Church to discriminate? Well today's Globe explains that:
Representatives of the archdiocese and Catholic Charities said on Thursday that funds to pay for the legal strategy were coming from Catholic Charities budget, which surprised some board members.
How interesting, money that people gave to the Catholic Charities to fund "basic needs" is now going to lawyers to find ways to discriminate:
Catholic Charities provides basic needs services to more than 150,000 people each year. These services include food and fuel assistance, which is of greater concern this year than ever before. Visit our basic needs services page to find but what Catholic Charities is doing in your community and how you can help....
The same church that is using money from a charity to fund lawyers to find ways to discriminate also said:

Well, it must be that there is an overwhelming majoring of same sex couples taking children away from the needy heterosexual couples. Survey says:

Of the 720 adoptions that group has completed in the past 20 years, only 13 have gone to same-sex couples. Those adopted were all foster children who were considered hard to place because they had special needs or were older.

Or less than 2% of all the adoptions for the past 20 years!

Maybe the church just thinks that children who are old and/or have special needs don't deserve families or are "inherently evil". It sounds like the church should not be in the adoption business period. Funny all this is announced right after the bill requiring churches to disclose their finances is defeated. What else is the Church trying to hide now and who will they sue to discriminate against next?

Will It Do More Than the Gym?

CNN is reporting:

Same-sex partnerships may be good for couples

Doctors already know that marriage benefits the health of both sexes in a variety of ways. British scientists said civil partnerships for gay and lesbian couples were likely to offer similar advantages.

"Marriage confers health benefits on men and women and similar benefits could arise from same-sex civil unions," said Professor Michael King, of London's Royal Free and University College Medical School, in a study published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.

But then again most anti-gay groups that are against same sex couples marrying are also hoping that we will get ill and die out anyway. They don't want same sex couples getting health benefits from their partners which is one of the material perks of marriage.

More Stories You Won't Read on Massresistance

Massresistance and Article 8 are always so quick to point at any story in the paper and blame it on gay and lesbian people but they shy away from any story that includes heterosexuals and sex. I'm always amazed at how much they focus on us when they claim we're only 1% or so of the population. You'd think they'd spend their efforts on helping the other 99% (their estimates)of the population. So here are some more stories you won't read on either Massresistance or Article 8:

Once again, I'm not saying that ALL heterosexuals are bad people, of course their are exceptions to the rule. However, if one was to use Massresistance & Article 8's logic, heterosexuals should not be allowed to have children nor care for them. Additionally, from these stories (and there are much more out there) they are obsessed with sex and violence.

But I'm A Christian...

You know it's gotta be true when you read it on the Agape Press "Reliable News from a Christian Source":

Two Christian parents say their son was a victim of homosexual indoctrination at the prestigious "Governor's School of North Carolina."

The Governor's School of North Carolina describes itself as "program for intellectually gifted high school students, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses." But one North Carolina couple is suffering some after effects of their son's involvement in the program. Jim and Beverly Burrows say after their son attended a Governor's School seminar called "The New Gay Teenager," he began telling them he was unsure of his "sexual orientation."

I just don't get it. I NEVER took a course on homosexuality. I am an Eagle scout. I played sports in high school and I even took a health class which focused on heterosexual sex and its perils and I NEVER was confused about my sexuality.

The only thing I could get from this story is that gay people must be better teachers.

If Only It Was Science Fiction!

It almost seems like a scene from the original Star Trek:
If everything you say is lie and you say "you are lying" then you are telling the truth but you said you are lying...
Except of course the "logic" is from those other far out space nuts: Article 8 and Massresistance. Last week they were pointing out the the anti-gay, Nazi loving shooter was a "Violent, troubled punk":

The 18-year-old punk who attacked innocent people in a bar was clearly a mess, a Neo-Nazi wannabe, his room full of anti-black and anti-Semitic garbage (doesn't mention anything about shooting gay people). He went to a school for kids with discipline problems. The state had investigated his home in 2000 on suspicions of child neglect. A young man with serious mental health issues and social problems. Sick people exist in a world of their own. It's not anyone else's fault what a crazy man does.

And they were upset when the head of the NGLTF said:
Statement by Matt Foreman, Executive Director National Gay and Lesbian Task Force
"The hatred and loathing fueling this morning's vicious attack on gay men in New Bedford is not innate, it is learned. And who is teaching it? Leaders of the so-called Christian right, that's who. Individuals like James Dobson of Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council's Tony Perkins, the Rev. Pat Robertson and their ilk are obsessed with homosexuality. They use their vast resources, media networks and affiliated pulpits to blame lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people for all the ills of society. They disguise their hatred as 'deeply held religious beliefs.' We have witnessed seven years of vicious anti-LGBT organizing in Massachusetts — and endured the hate-filled rantings of Brian Camenker of the Article 8 Alliance and Parents Rights Coalition and Ed Pawlick of MassNews. The blood spilled this morning is on their hands."

While they don't like being linked to anti-gay violence, in countless posts and articles they are continuously trying to link the whole gay community to anything and anyone bad on the planet. From a their "friend" Joe:
The journalist also implies that the Roman Catholic Church is scapegoating gays for the scandals. I believe research will prove that most of the abuse was done by priests with sexually mature victims and that much of the abuse was male-to-male. (The constant refrain we hear is, "Oh, that's different, those priests weren't gay -- they were pedophiles.") I believe most of those responsible for the abuse can be classified as gay. If this is the case the Church should be heralded for rooting out this problem.
Of course Joe has no data just "speculation" because of his personal views on gay people. Or this:

And now in California's Bay area, public restrooms must play host to transsexual-transgendered freak shows. (Read the story in WorldNetDaily.) Imagine your little girl in the ladies' room as she observes a man/woman using the facilities. Bad enough little boys have to worry about homosexual pedophiles in men's restrooms. But now, even the ladies' rooms are unsafe!
What sources does she has that pedophiles in restrooms are gay, did they self identify? But of course the stereotyping isn't only linked to gay men:

The Springfield Republican reports that two women have been charged with the rape and assault of another woman, in a "sexual encounter that a prosecutor said started out consensual and turned into a rape involving handcuffs and knives."

The details of this sordid encounter remind us that one of the dangers of the lesbian "lifestyle" is a higher incidence of domestic violence than in heterosexual relationships. It also brings to mind just how dangerous the kinky, pansexual world can become, and how quickly people can slide down that slippery slope into dangerous perversions, including the sort of sadism described in the article

Or to gay people:

Isn't encouraging the homosexual lifestyle among our young people priestly child abuse, in another form?

But I'm the one with the "rage and angry energy".

Unfortunate Questions

The latest news is that the shooter who entered a gay bar in New Bedford and started shooting is now dead. Unfortunately, he killed a police officer and a passenger in a vehicle he was driving before he was killed. He ended up in Arkansas, where the shootout occurred.

There is much speculation at how this could have happened. How his parents say that they had no idea what he was up to even though he had Nazi flags in his bedroom and a website which proclaimed his hate. Are his parents responsible at all?

Only last week we saw many people cram into the Statehouse to debate a bill about about teaching health to children. The opponents of bill want to leave it up to the parents. They say they want the parents to teach the children about the moral lessons of life not the educators. What happened here? Who's fault is it? How do we fix it? In this instance the parents failed, or did they?

Out, damned spot! out, I say!

How glorious, Ms. Massresistance is now ranting because of the hate crime in New Bedford.

Yes, it was the vicious act of one degenerate. But no, "opinion" has no role to play here! Use of that word implies that people who hold opinions critical of special rights for homosexuals are indeed dangerous, but they just don't happen to live in New Bedford!
That's right, they live in Acton and Newton and even Little ole Provincetown. She tries to wash the blood off her hands by once again playing the victim (a part she loves to play) and asks:

What does the political and moral argument over "gay marriage" have to do with some crazy guy's meltdown?
Why? Well, because people like her are constantly verbally attacking gays and lesbians. Calling us depraved, perverted and abnormal. Funny how they are always blaming us for the breakdown of the family or the Iraq War (well Brian Camenker did say he could link it to gays getting married if he had enough time) yet they try and distance themselves from an action that could possibly be linked directly to them. As Bay Windows reported just yesterday:
"This bill is viciously undemocratic. Our founding fathers would have taken up arms because of this," said Lexington parent David Parker, who made headlines last April for refusing to leave school grounds after he demanded that his son be opted out of any discussion in his kindergarten class on LGBT topics, including discussions of families with gay parents.
Well David, have no fear. You don't need the founding fathers because this boy is carrying out your wishes. He has taken up arms against the gay community.

I don't know how plain it has to be. He went into a gay bar, asked if it was a gay bar and started swinging an ax and shooting a gun. What more do you need? Yeah he was an anti-Semite and anti- African American but did he go into synagogue and start shooting? No, he went into a GAY bar. This young man was not born prejudice, where did he learn it? Where did he learn to hate Jews and African Americans? Where did he learn that gay people were sub-human and should be shot to death? Who is responsible for his behavior? Is it any wonder that attacks on gays and lesbians has risen since 2003? What group is verbally bashed more in the newspapers, online and even in the State of the Union address? If you guessed Judaism or people of color you're wrong.

Is the Age of Consent in Georgia below 15?

Interesting story on CNN:
Teen disappears before wife, 37, gives birth
The story takes place in Atlanta, Georgia and the husband is 15 years old, the wife, 37. Gosh, wasn't that one of the states that has a constitutional amendment banning same sex couples from marrying?
This state shall recognize as marriage only the union of man and woman. Marriages between persons of the same sex are prohibited in this state. No union between persons of the same sex shall be recognized by this state as entitled to the benefits of marriage. This state shall not give effect to any public act, record or judicial proceeding of any other state or jurisdiction respecting a relationship between persons of the same sex that is treated as a marriage under the laws of such other state or jurisdiction. The courts of this state shall have no jurisdiction to grant a divorce or separate maintenance with respect to any such relationship or otherwise to consider or rule on any of the parties’ respective rights arising as a result of or in connection with such relationship.
They also prohibited billboards from showing that gay and lesbian people are firemen and nurses. They must just like their marriages between men and women, oops, I meant boys and girls. Do you think Gov. Romney would have allowed that marriage to take place in Massachusetts?

This is the Suspect

This is the suspect in the shooting in New Bedford, MA. His name is Jacob D. Robida and he is 18. From the Herald:

Robida is described as a short, stocky white man with dark hair. He was last seen driving a green 1999 Pontiac Grand Am.

“He’s definitely considered armed and dangerous and has extremely violent tendencies,” said New Bedford police Capt. Richard Spirlet.

According to the police affidavit, officers went to Robida’s home and spoke to his mother, Stephanie Oliver. She said her son came home around 1 a.m., bleeding from the head, then left again.

If you spot him call 911.

Why Do We Need a Hate Crime Law?

A MAN WALKED INTO A BAR, asked if it was a GAY bar and then started swinging an ax and shooting. Do you think Article 8/Massresistance will start defending this guy? It was only yesterday that Ms. Massresistance was pointing out that in France someone was fined for Hate speech and to her THAT was a crime. Ok, Ms. Massresistance, this teenager (who probably didn't have health in high school because Article 8 got that removed from the curriculum) attacked numerous people without being provoked.

Maybe the guy was on Massresistance's website and read the following:

So what do you think someone who is not in their right frame of mind would think if they read their websites? Public Enemy #1? Perverted? Abnormal? Yet they claim to not incite violence.
