MassResistance is Running Scared!

How else can you explain why they have a webpage outlining their banquet this Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 6:30 PM, yet there is no link or advertising on their official website's front page or the blog (which hasn't been updated since Dec.)

Additionally, they posted at the top of their site last year that they would be posting their weekly email updates on their webpage. If you happen to look now it's still listed as December 28 yet we know that they have sent out at least 2 other updates since then. I won't even get into their "We update our webpage every day" promise.

What's going on? If this is supposed to be their chance to "fight back" and their "unveiling of their plans for winning the culture war in the Massachusetts State House" wouldn't you expect a front page headline on their website? (Brian, how'd that citizen's petition work out for ya?)

They ARE a fringe group, my husband reminds me, but still, I wonder who would even attend this loony banquet? I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Mark Your Calendars: MassResistance Banquet This Saturday

MassResistance is having their banquet this Saturday night, January 31, 2009 in Boxborough Massachusetts (gee they haven't posted anything on their website for the public to know about it, why do you think that is?):

2. MassResistance banquet set for January 31. An outstanding evening you won't want to miss! Start 2009 by fighting back!.

On Saturday evening, January 31, 2009, MassResistance is having one of its most powerful banquets ever. We will have (a) three incredible speakers, (b) a great dinner, and (c) we'll unveil our plans for winning the culture war in the Massachusetts State House. Given the critical times we're in right now, you definitely won't want to miss this. Our speakers are:

1. FEATURED SPEAKER: Former Congressman Steve Stockman (R-Texas).

Cong. Stockman was a conservative leader in the legendary "revolutionary freshman class" of the 104th Congress that forced unprecedented reform in the US House of Representatives. (See bio below.) Cong. Stockman will speak on "Why MassResistance is the model for the future of the conservative movement." He believes so strongly in what we're doing that he is waiving his speaking fee to come and address our banquet.

Also:2. Dr. Scott Lively, author of The Pink Swastika, 7 Steps to Recruit-Proof Your Child, The Poisoned Stream, and other books. (He gave an incredible speech at our last banquet.) He will discuss a very timely topic, "Unmasking Gay-Speak".

3. David Parker, a hero around the country for his courageous (and costly) battle for parents' rights against the homosexual tsunami in the schools. David's topic is directly from his heart: "The fight will continue."

MassResistance Banquet - Don't miss it!

DATE: Saturday evening, January 31, 2009

TIME: 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

PLACE: Holiday Inn, Boxborough

$35.00 per person (Same GREAT meal for $5 less than last year!)$350 for a table of 10

There are so many wrong things going on here.

First off, who ever heard of 1 term Representative Steve Stockman from Texas? Here's a sentance that stood on on Wikipedia:

In June 1996, Stockman and his campaign alleged that Houston Press reporter Tim Fleck trespassed in Stockman's campaign headquarters, which was also his home, and terrorized his wife. Fleck countered with a lawsuit alleging libel and slander. Both the charges and lawsuit were later dropped.

Wow, you can't make this stuff up! This sounded eerily familiar! Oh wait, but there's more, he also sponsored a bill in the House to eliminate background checks, waiting periods, and registration requirements for firearms. Way to go Brian, you've got a winner there!

I've also written about professional gay hater Scott Lively before, the Southern Poverty Law Center detailed about the anti-gay violence going on in Latvia because of his book the Pink Swastika (which I believe has been panned by any credible researcher). And finally we have perennial lawsuit loser Mad Dad Parker, the goto guy for MassResistance who says he isn't involved with MassResistance. As you recall, Parker tried to sue the Lexington school system with a meritless claim but consistently lost every appeal all the way to the Supreme Court.

I think it's really important for the owners and staff at the Holiday Inn in Boxborough to hear from you all. I wonder how Holiday Inn would feel if they knew they were about to host a hate group in their facilities. I'm just asking.

Doing anything on Saturday night? I heard the baked chicken at the Holiday Inn in Boxborough is FABULOUS, although it does come with a huge dollop of Hate.

The White House Web Page

Yes people! The White House has updated it's Civil Rights Web pages:

Support for the LGBT Community
"While we have come a long way since the Stonewall riots in 1969, we still have a lot of work to do. Too often, the issue of LGBT rights is exploited by those seeking to divide us. But at its core, this issue is about who we are as Americans. It's about whether this nation is going to live up to its founding promise of equality by treating all its citizens with dignity and respect."
-- Barack Obama, June 1, 2007
The site then goes on to list many of the issues the Administration will deal with:
  • Expand Hate Crimes Statutes

  • Fight Workplace Discrimination

  • Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples

  • Oppose a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

  • Repeal Don't Ask-Don't Tell

  • Expand Adoption Rights

  • Promote AIDS Prevention

  • Empower Women to Prevent HIV/AIDS:

And to think that it's only the first full day of this Administration!

MassResistance Perverts History Again

I can't believe it. MassResistance, a recognized hate group, is quoting Martin Luther King Jr. and relaying it to their "struggle":

In our current struggles how many times have you been told that we need to be "reasonable" or "polite" and not offend people? Or that you are being an "extremist" because you confront people (and public officials) with the truth? That you need to go through "proper channels" and not be disagreeable? Or that your church has decided it's best to avoid difficult social issues? Sadly, this isn't new.

To have MassResistance quoting Martin Luther King Jr. is very offensive. Then I thought about MLK's dream. While his quest to wipe out injustice isn't even remotely similar to this hate group's activities, Dr. King would have hoped that by them quoting him, some of his insight into the world of injustice and quest for freedom might somehow trickle into MassResistance's follower's thoughts and deeds.

Dr. King would have never advocated publishing lies on the internet about people or harassing public or private individuals by publishing their home telephone numbers. MassResistance neglects to mention that Bayard Rustin, one of Dr. King's closest advisers and one of the men who organized the 1963 March on Washington was GAY and Dr. King was proud to have him at his side.

Coretta Scott King continued Dr. King's advocacy of non-violent protest and speaking out on injustice everywhere:
I still hear people say that I should not be talking about the rights of lesbian and gay people. ... But I hasten to remind them that Martin Luther King Jr. said, 'Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.' I appeal to everyone who believes in Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream, to make room at the table of brotherhood and sisterhood for lesbian and gay people."

Anyone can quote Dr. King but that doesn't change the meaning of his words.

Equal Means Equal

We watched the State of the State address tonight by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. All I can say is WOW! What a leader.

Oh, and he ended the speech with a little something like:

"Together we can" like "yes we can" is an assertion of character... and the same character that leads us to affirm, whether gay or straight, that in Massachusetts equal means equal."

I love this state!

No More Cola or Chicken Soup EVER!

Yes folks, AFA is at it again. This time they are boycotting Pepsi and Campbell Soup:

Despite the fact that 30 states have passed constitutional amendments defining marriage as being between a man and a woman, Pepsi continues to support the efforts by same-sex groups pushing for homosexual marriage. AFA wrote Pepsi on
October 14 and again on October 29 asking the company to remain neutral in the culture war.

Pepsi didn't care enough to respond to the AFA letters. Pepsi's lack of response indicates the company plans to continue support for the homosexual agenda.Take Action!•
E-mail Chairman Indra K. Nooyi. Tell her that you expect Pepsi to stop supporting the gay agenda.• After sending your e-mail, please call Pepsi (914-253-2000) (800-960-3602) and ask the company to remain neutral in the culture war.•

Forward this e-mail to your friends and family so they will know about Pepsi's support of the gay agenda.

Pepsi's products include Pepsi soft drinks, Frito-Lay chips (800-352-4477), Quaker Oats (800-367-6287), Tropicana (800-237-7799) and Gatorade (800-367-6287).

Yeah AFA, how'd that Disney, Ford and McDonald's work out for ya? Now it's on to Campbell soup and Pepsi. And don't you love how they talk about the "culture war", so "Christian" and yet all they can talk about is wars. I guess their lemmings will have to pull themselves from "The Jerry Springer" show for a minute to call Pepsi and Campbell Soup and tell them how terrible it is that they are advertising in the gay media, Oh horrors!

It's a New Year and MassResistance is still Looking for Money for Brian

Happy New Year everyone. Yes, it's been awhile since I've posted anything. I guess I haven't posted for two reasons: 1) I've been enjoying the holidays, traveling and staying in touch with various people who I just don't get enough time to see and 2) MassResistance has had nothing new to say except send us more money which means Brian Camenker wants more dough for his pockets.

Let's face it, MassResistance is done. Massachusetts has a profamily Governor and legislature and it a little more than a week the United States will have a pro-family President, that's right, a President that really is pro-family because he values ALL families. It's an exciting time to be living through.

Meanwhile, MassResistance is still asking for money to pay Brian's bills, so is the Peter and every other anti-gay organization in the U.S. The economy is in the pits because of the soon to be ex-"pro family" President. Do you think the anti-gay hate groups have figured out yet that because of the bad economy and lack of money people wouldn't be contributing to them or care about their missions?

I'm still keeping watch and documenting the Massachusetts hate group's actions but fortunately there's really nothing to blog on. The Mass legislature won't vote on any of their insane actions and the people of the Commonwealth are sick of their bigotry. January 20th can't come soon enough.

"..all men are created equal..."
