MassResistance's SUCCESS!!!

at failing to get enough signatures to put the racist 1913 law on the ballot. YES!

I didn't need an email from Brian to already know this since it's been evident ever since they embarked on this anti-gay endeavor back in August.

But BayWindows has the story:

The effort by the anti-gay group MassResistance to reinstate the 1913 law has failed. The group had spent the past two months collecting signatures to place a referendum on the 2010 ballot to reinstate the law, which the legislature and Gov. Deval Patrick repealed in July, but by the Oct. 29 deadline for gathering signatures MassResistance had only managed to collect one-third of the total needed.
As BayWindows notes, MassResistance has removed all traces of this failed petition drive from their website, but not here. MassResistance Watch has all the information you need and I have all their hate mails detailing their progress:

It's impossible to get an exact count since people and signature sheets are scattered across the state.

I wonder what all those "$500.00" donors are thinking at this moment? "I gave money for what!?!" I'm guessing Brian's going to have to find a real job now unless he pocketed all the cash he claimed he raised for the petition which failed.

Finally, in the words of Brian Camenker's MassResistance:

What this Referendum means

This is a big deal. Besides eventually stopping a horrible social experiment from being forced across the country, this sends some very strong messages...

And as we said, the rest of the Boston media isn't far behind. They really don't get it. They're going to be very disappointed when we get done . . .
