I guess all the spinning around that Brian's doing it throwing him for a loop and today's neither Thursday OR July 28th.
This blog is akin to KlanWatch. We are watching the Hate groups in Massachusetts, namely the Massresistance "blog" and Article8.org. MassResistance is listed as a Hate Group by The Southern Poverty Law Center. While MassResistance is mainly a fringe group, their hate speech should not go unnoticed. Unlike them, we are not afraid of opposing viewpoints, please feel free to comment.
So once again the major media are doing the work of the homosexual lobby. Many in the media have decided that the “gay” issue is settled, and the homosexual activists have won. (Remember when Big Media thought the abortion issue was pretty much over?) Yesterday’s non-coverage was appalling journalism, even by corrupt Chicago standards. Clearly, the boycott story is compelling — even from a pure business perspective: already, nearly 200,000 people have signed AFA’s boycott petition
"I've never seen anything like that," Camenker exclaims. "Nobody, obviously, nobody wanted their name in front of this. Nobody was willing to get up and say anything," he continues. "You know, somebody could have at least called for a roll call vote. But it was...as cowardly as anything I've ever seen. This was completely choreographed by the gay movement," Camenker concludes. He adds that calling the process "sleazy doesn't even do it justice."
Mass. Senate repeals “1913 Law” to allow out-of-state gays to “marry” in MA using voice vote. Members too cowardly to go on record.
Malia filed the MassHealth Equality Bill, H.B. 4107, to remedy the fact that because MassHealth relies on federal as well as state funding, same-sex married couples, whose marriages are not recognized at the federal level, are not treated as spouses under the program, which can pose serious financial hardships for couples should one partner require long-term nursing home care, among other issues. If signed into law by Gov. Deval Patrick, it would require MassHealth to recognize the marriages of same-sex couples and have the state pick up the cost of services for those couples that are denied by the federal government.
The Governor beat around the bush a bit, but Kevin persisted. His Excellency finally said:
" . . . I don't know about MassResistance. If they have an attitude, then the chances are I'm not going to meet with them. But if they want to bring a view forward -- and people have and do -- then I'll meet with them. Sure."Us? Have an attitude? MassResistance pleads: Guilty as charged.
Nevertheless, the next day we submitted a formal request to the Governor's staff
for a meeting. We're willing to be reasonable!
As the final few weeks of the session wind down, the Massachusetts legislature has decided to resurrect the controversial attempt to repeal the "1913 Law" - which the homosexual lobby has been crusading for and which is one of their "goals" for 2008. Rumors had been swirling around in the "gay" press about this. Today it was on the front page of the Boston Globe.
The bill would destabilize the Massachusetts marriage laws (see details below). Currently no out-of-state couple can get "married" in Massachusetts if that marriage would not be legal in their home state. This would overturn that law (passed by several states in 1913) and allow any homosexual couple in America to get "married" here - and cause havoc in their home states. (It would also cause Massachusetts to be a "gay marriage" capital of the world. If you think "gay pride week" was bad, imagine seeing it all year around.)
You should never say bad things about the dead, you should only say good . . . Jesse Helms is dead. Good.
But wait, what's this at the top of the page:
Geez, first they couldn't figure out that Northampton was different than Boston and now they don't even know the days of the week (Thursday is July 3rd and Friday is July 4th Brian). Doh!
Instead of tracking LGBT people I think the duo at MassResistance need to go back to school, only keep them away from the other students, they like to take too many photographs of them.
As for their report, well, there's really no need to head over there unless you want to see some pictures of happy people enjoying themselves and if you missed Pride you can get some sense of the parade although they seem to leave out all the religious and political groups that also were in the parade (which seems to make up the largest portion of the Boston Pride parades).
And no, contrary to popular belief, there were no sightings of MassResistance's Amy Contrada marching with the PFLAG group. She's still in denial.
Quotation count for MassResistance's latest Rant: 10
Note: They had this to say about a group in the Parade:
Then came . . . well . . . these men. Who knows - maybe they're high school teachers or State House staff members during the week. Very disturbed people.
And the men they were referring to...Yeah, they're ACTORS and they were performing that weekend at Club Cafe. The troupe's name is "Fresh Fruit". MassResistance once again proves that they're CLUELESS.
UPDATE: Someone over at MassResistance must have gotten the memo since they have now changed the title on their site to Friday, July 4. They must have finally looked at the calendar or read this blog.
