Transgender Protections Passed in Massachusetts
Mass Family Institute (MFI) dubbed the bill "the Bathroom Bill" and brought up the typical "What about the children" propaganda to try and stop the bill. Even now they keep stating that the bill is for "special rights" the same argument they tried to make for denying same sex couple marriage when in reality they are just biased against GLBT people no matter what the reason.
Can't wait to read what MassResistance has to say about this now since evertime they speak people are amazed at what they have to say!

MassResistance Continues to Read Minds
We not only told the committee the truth, as opposed to the lies and misrepresentations they'd been hearing. But we also brought up a lot of things they hadn't ever heard before about this bill (and their reaction showed that). Most of them seemed to be listening carefully. Several of the committee members actually thanked us for our testimony, and asked us questions to elaborate on what we had said.
Camenker said that while his argument against gay marriage may not have been convincing in the footage that was aired, he may have changed some hearts and minds among the ''25-year-olds from New York City who naturally are all pro gay marriage."
''They were moved by what I said about the subject," Camenker said. ''They didn't use 99 percent of my stuff. But the arguments I said, you could tell they were visibly moved, and that I was saying things they hadn't heard before."
Of course this isn't the first time MassResistance has been able to read the minds of the people they are up against.

News News News
- Another youth has tragically taken his life because of anti-gay bullying and the "Christians" are silent.
- Teaparty Boos American Solider in Iraq and Rick Santorum says NOTHING. Later on he rebukes the booers and claims he didn't hear them (even while pausing in his response) and then even later he rebukes his condenation of the booers!
- MassResistance tries again: Once again MassResistance is trying to put anti-gay laws on Massachusetts' books. This time they are using David Parker's name and image to try and get it passed. Of course, as usual MassResistance lies in all it's PR for the bill claiming that David Parker was arrested for standing up for his parental rights when in face he was arrested for failing to leave school grounds when requested by police.
- Scott Lively, is being honored by Peter LaBarbera's American's for Truth about Homosexuality in Illinois in Oct. Lively is know for blaming homosexual for the Nazi Germany in his book "The Pink Swastika" and for supporting the anti-gay rhetoric in Africa which spawned the bill calling for the execution of homosexuals.
- Maggie Gallagher stepped down from the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) to run the Marriage Anti-Defamation Alliance because they are being denied marriages now that the gays are marrying...wait no. She started this organization because young straight kids were being bullied to death for being straight...wait no, that's wrong too. She claims she's being victimized for her stance for advocating discrimination against gay couples who only want to marry.
- Don't Ask, Don't Tell was officially Repealed!

MassResistance Has Another Success!
ALBANY, N.Y. — Lawmakers voted late yesterday to legalize same-sex marriage, making New York the largest state where gay and lesbian couples will be able to wed and giving the national gay-rights movement new momentum from the state where it was born.
The pictures of New York remind me to those days (and nights) at the State House here in Massachusetts. The anti-gay side, like in Massachusetts, tried anything to keep the State discriminating against gay and lesbian couples. In the days leading up to the vote there were large groups of people "praying" it wouldn't come to pass. So I guess God spoke and said NO. They even trotted out the "ex-gays" to sidetrack it and it didn't work.
But here in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, we can all look to MassResistance and thank them for doing their part. They were in the trenches working with the rightest of the anti-gay right doing their thing:
The legislative session is scheduled to end on Monday, but as reported above, the Governor and his liberal allies will likely extend it for this bill. We are in close contact with "pro-family" advocates and will keep you updated on this. Also see our special
MassResistance page on the New York marriage battle, which we plan to update frequently until the session ends..
And surprise, surprise, when you click on the link there is no mention of the fact that they lost and marriage equality is the law in New York. MassResistance: always full of promises and never delivers.
I am reminded of Brian Camenker's appearance on the Daily Show when he seriously stated that given enough time he could link marriage equality with decreased quality of life, homelessness, air quality and crime rates only now it's becoming clear that in every successful step toward Marriage Equality, MassResistance has been in close contact with the anti-gay groups. As he said in a Boston Globe article about his appearance on the show:
Camenker said that while his argument against gay marriage may not have been convincing in the footage that was aired, he may have changed some hearts and minds among the ''25-year-olds from New York City who naturally are all pro gay marriage."
''They were moved by what I said about the subject," Camenker said. ''They didn't use 99 percent of my stuff. But the arguments I said, you could tell they were visibly moved, and that I was saying things they hadn't heard before."
Yes Brian, you changed MANY hearts in New York. Once again, keep up the good work!

MassResistance's Hands are all over New York
A Senate vote is expected to take place today or Friday. We've been in constant contact with key Orthodox Jewish activists, who have used our MassResistance material on "What Same-Sex 'Marriage' did to Massachusetts" in State House lobbyng. Can our side hold the line?Of course MassResistance is still pulling out all the stops with the scare tactics about marriage equality, of course there no mention of Massachusetts having the lowest divorce rate in the country. One of the lies they're touting:
By the following year it was in elementary school curricula. Kindergartners were given picture books telling them that same-sex couples are just another kind of family, like their own parents. In 2005, when David Parker of Lexington,
MA – a parent of a kindergartner – strongly insisted on being notified when teachers were discussing homosexuality or transgenderism with his son, the school had him arrested and put in jail overnight.
If you click on the first link it's about the book "Who's in a family" and talks about all different types of families, no mention of marriages in this book. Then they bring up Mad Dad David Parker who held up in an elementary school knowing full well that if he didn't leave he would be arrest, Parker LOVES to play the martyr.
It’s become commonplace in Massachusetts schools for teachers to prominently display photos of their same-sex “spouses” and occasionally bring them to school functions. Both high schools in my own town now have principals who are “married” to their same-sex partners, whom they bring to school and introduce to the students.
MassResistance LOVES the quotation marks. They want same sex married couples to hide in the closet. Wants the teachers to lie to their students about their marriages and wants them to be second class citizens by not allowing them to talk about their families, that's right, their LEGAL families. Oh the horrors!
The wedding industry is required serve the homosexual community if requested. Wedding photographers, halls, caterers, etc., must do same-sex marriages or be arrested for discrimination.
Another lie, no one has been arrested or will be. Where do they get this shit?
Their list goes on and on with one ridiculous accusation after another and of course, ends with how these marriages are not really legal (did Brian Camenker or Amy Contrada ever go to law school?
The only thing that's changed in Massachusetts since marriage equality went into effect is that MassResistance is now labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center for their attacks on the LGBT community. They never had crediblity but they never lost that, except that now the right wing fringe lunatics picked up their rants and post them in obscure part of the country.
What did Same Sex Marriage do to Massachusetts? Make Brian Camenker a laughing stock across the country.

Swimming Pool - Straights Only
The scary thing is that it is probably legal to discriminate against gay people in Kentucky even if you pay taxes because I do not believe Kentucky has a law banning discrimination against LGBT citizens.Activists in Kentucky are planning a peaceful response after two gay men with developmental and intellectual disabilities were kicked out of a public pool.
A maintenance technician reportedly cited the Bible while telling the two men they couldn't swim at The Pavilion, a government-funded recreational facility in Hazard, Kentucky.
"We own this place and can tell you to leave if we want to," the couple was told, according to the Kentucky Equality Foundation
"The Pavilion staff immediately entered the pool area and asked my clients and their staff to leave the Pavilion," Mending Hearts Executive Director Shirlyn Perkins recalled. "My staff asked The Pavilion staff why they were being asked to leave, and they were informed that 'gay people' weren't allowed to swim there."

Red Sox to Produce "It Gets Better" Video
"The Red Sox organization takes the issue of bullying seriously," team spokeswoman Leah Tobin released in a statement. "It is something that has touched many of us and those we love, and it is a growing problem in our community. We are proud of dedicated Red Sox fans like 12-year-old Sam Maden who have taken the courageous step of publicly standing up against bullying of LGBT youth."
I wonder how long it will take until MassResistance starts vilifying 12 -year old Sam Maden?

MassResistance Takes Credit for the Sun Rising and Adds Another Success?
Over the past eighteen months MassResistance has waged a battle in get Congress either to have Jennings' office defunded, or have him removed. We compiled and posted a large report of Jennings' activities going back decades-- most of which MassResistance uncovered. In addition we've gathered over ten thousand signatures from across America on our online petition. And we've been communicating with various key Congressmen and their staffs, as well as other Washington DC insiders, to push this as hard as possible...
...THANK YOU to everyone across the country who signed our petition and who helped get the word out. Getting Kevin Jennings out of the Dept. of Education is a great victory for all Americans!

Focus on the Family - Losing on Marriage
We're losing on that one, especially among the 20- and 30-somethings: 65 to 70 percent of them favor same-sex marriage. I don't know if that's going to change with a little more age—demographers would say probably not. We've probably lost that. I don't want to be extremist here, but I think we need to start calculating where we are in the culture. So some of the anti-gay right are finally starting to see the writing the wall. In the article he also talks about getting their own marriages in order before they start attacking others. This also makes perfect sense especially for all those people claiming to "defend marriage" while divorcing like crazy, cheating on their spouses and trying to tear apart other families.

It's the End of the World as We Know It
People are going to be risen and the heathens will be left on earth to deal with earthquakes and explosions that will last until the final doomsday sometime in the fall. Wouldn't you think God would want to get it over and done with all at the same time? Hasn't God heard of multi-tasking, you know, raise up the Christians and abolish the rest of the earth all at the same time because apparently, according to Camping, God is doing it by time zones, so no lines no waiting at the gates of Heaven.Harold Camping, the 89-year-old Christian evangelist from Oakland, Calif., whose Family Radio broadcasts are heard in 61 languages, doesn't just think that Judgment Day will come Saturday. He guarantees it.
"It is absolutely going to happen," said Camping, who has determined after five decades of studying Scripture that May 21 marks the beginning of the end. "We do not have a Plan B at all. There is no possibility that it will not happen, because all of our information comes from the Bible.
All this news reminds me of the episode of "6 Feet Under" when some guys filled blow up dolls with helium and then released them. When a "Christian" saw the dolls going up into the air she ran towards them to be risen and was hit by a car and killed. I guess she got her wish!

Sex Abuse Crisis DECREASED as Gay Priests Began Serving
If you recall Santorum and the anti-gay loonies were blaming gay priests for all the molestation when it appears that:The sexual abuse crisis in the Catholic Church was caused by the influence of sweeping social changes and increasing “deviant behavior’’ of the 1960s and 1970s on priests who were inadequately trained, emotionally unprepared, and isolated, according to a new report commissioned by the nation’s Roman Catholic bishops.
Researchers at John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York, who spent five years conducting the most expensive and extensive study of sexual abuse in the Catholic church to date, concluded that homosexual priests were no more likely to abuse than heterosexual priests.
The report notes that homosexual men began entering the seminaries “in noticeable numbers” from the late 1970s through the 1980s. By the time this cohort entered the priesthood, in the mid-1980s, the reports of sexual abuse of minors by priests began to drop and then to level off. If anything, the report says, the abuse decreased as more gay priests began serving the church.

Another MassResistance Candidate Goes Down in Flames
Candidate Jim Dixon, a Republican, is the real thing -- we can't stress that enough. He's a true conservative, a Tea Party guy, a solid Catholic, and very smart. He's also a Navy veteran and a commercial pilot. You can find out more about him at his campaign website. Getting a guy like him in the Legislature would be wonderful. He will help change Massachusetts back to normal.Of course, MassResistance has NO IDEA was normal even is! Well, this Tea Partier got beat by a truly normal guy:
According to results released by Waltham City Clerk Russ Malone, Lawn won Waltham by a 987-624 margin, a difference of roughly 22 percent. In Newton, Lawn edged Dixon 374-145, taking about 72 percent of that city's vote. And in his hometown of Watertown, Lawn earned a whopping 82 percent of the vote, besting Dixon 453-99.
Massachusetts needs MassResistance to keep vouching for candidates then we all win!

Luckily MassResistance still has the Article 8 domain!
First it started with all their anti-gay testimony at the hearing for the new justice. Me thinks Brian Camenker is probably more upset that Sally Naumann is getting more press than his ridiculous rant trying to link Lenk to the "Falsettos" production in Concord (Remember, if given enough time he can link gay marriage to bad air quality, homelessness and any other myriad of issues plaguing Massachusetts)
Sally Naumann is probably best remembered for her "testimony" at the State House when she wanted the legislators to know that gay people were responsible for the Holocaust and waved her copy of the Pink Swastika at them. Then she wanted the Concord town to admonish the school for producing "Falsettos", we know how that turned out.
Now she's writing into the Boston Globe claiming to speak for the other bigots in Massachusetts who have yet to show their face or raise their voices:
THE GLOBE’S elitist and condescending editorial condemning my testimony at the Barbara Lenk hearing was certainly predictable (“Decision on Lenk should focus on her record, not her sexuality,’’ April 29). But I speak for countless parents across the Commonwealth. And, yes, the Governor’s Council needed to hear it.
Parents are sick and tired of the homosexual indoctrination process in the public schools, which now reaches into kindergarten with homosexual-themed story books and into middle schools with the setting up of gay-straight alliance clubs.Lenk’s elevation to the Supreme Judicial Court would only serve to accelerate the homosexual indoctrination. Lenk prominently appeared in the homosexual-themed magazine Boston Spirit as an “openly gay’’ judge who was described as helping to “create a shift in the culture.’’ Her same-sex marriage reinforces a right invented by activist judges repudiating thousands of years of Western culture. She will be used as a new role model for schoolchildren, and we can expect more anti-family judicial activism down the road.
I testified before the council that the notion that one is born gay is a myth. But the Globe’s editorial assertion that homosexual behavior is like being black or Asian has become the party line.
We need less of this nonsense, not more of it.
How bonkers is that? It's horrible that Lenk was in a gay business magazine! HORRORS! I guess Sally thinks Lenk should be ashamed of herself and keep silent, sorry Sally, it ain't happening and is never going to happen, ever hear of Stonewall?
As for Brian, well, he still gets carried in some off beat online papers across the country like WorldNutDaily and Dakota Voice who still call him a "pro-family" activist, yeah, that IS good for a laugh. His credibility here (did he even ever have any?) is gone and he needs to rely on his small group of anti-gay activists to spout his drivel. His name will always be linked to anti-gay screeds and conspiracy theories how sad is that for a legacy?

Concord Town Meeting Applauds "Falsettos"
However, the crazies were still out (Article 31 was the anti-gay petition to condemn the play, the school, the teachers involved, heck, it appears to target everyone):Concord — Town Meeting saw no surprises its first night with little debate on all articles except the last of the night, Article 31: the anticipated controversy that urged residents to condemn the 2009 fall play “Falsettos” for its use of public funds and defamation of Jews.
But even those engaged in debate decided they had heard enough. Discussion was quickly quelled by an overwhelming majority in support of an opposing amendment to the original article, which instead commended the School Committee and school employees for their work to foster “responsible citizenship” and “to create opportunities for critical thought.”
But the people spoke:“The choice is simple,” she added. “If you vote ‘yes’ to Article 31, you support health, piety, chastity and most of all life. If you choose to vote ‘no,’ as the Board of Selectmen, the School Committee and the Finance Committee
are prepared to do, then you support disease, anti-Semitism, debauchery and
death. Death to our town’s children."
A shot heard round the world indeed. Can't wait to read how MassResistance tries to spin this one although I'm sure there is a conspiracy theory involved somewhere.Petitioner Jim Smith, with his son Arthur — a 2006 CCHS alum — posed the amendment to the article. They argued that a simple vote was not enough.
“We are concerned that merely voting ‘no’ does not sufficiently address what we believe to be the larger issue,” said Smith. “Whether sustained criticism, even by a few, will have a chilling affect on the abilities of our schools to teach, debate, discuss and even produce important literary works that examine complex and complicated social issues.”
snip
The amendment to Article 31 passed nearly unanimously, and came to a close with lines still at the podium in favor of the amendment.

Tony Award Winning Play is MassResistance's Target
- Tony Award for Best Musical(nominee)
- Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical (winner)
- Tony Award for Best Original Score (winner)
- Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical (Rupert, nominee)
- Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Kaplan, nominee)
- Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Walsh, nominee)
- Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical (nominee)
- Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical (Walsh, winner)
- Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival (nominee)
- Theatre World Award (Kaplan, winner)
Yet this same award winning play is listed as "a vulgar and disgusting" on MassResistance's website. What's most astounding is that they call the play anti-Semitic which is astounding since the main theme of the play is readying the lead character's son for his bar mitzvah. The one reason they have a problem with this play is because the lead character comes out and leaves his wife for a man, plain and simply. They do not want anyone showing gay characters in a positive light.
But just how "Jewish" is Temple Kerem Shalom? According to its website, it has no affiliation with any branch of Judaism and it enthusiastically supports the homosexual movement and other fashionable left-wing nonsense. In other words, their real "religion" is liberalism. They are to Judaism what a ham and cheese sandwich is to a Kosher diet. This kinds of temple usually attracts disaffected liberal Jews, much the way radical churches attract disaffected Christians. It's an embarrassment.Again, not surprising since they believe everyone is supposed to condemn people who are gay just like them. Oh, and of course, they NEVER even saw the play!

Scott Lively's Back in the Anti-Gay Saddle Again
But Scott Lively says he is toning down his antigay rhetoric and shifting his focus to helping the downtrodden. And he’s found a home and a receptive audience in this struggling city where many, but not all, have embraced his mission to “re-Christianize Springfield.’’
That was before people learned that he had hired a convicted pedophile to "volunteer" at his coffee house which was catering to school children.
Then his "Abiding Truth Ministries" gets named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center along with his comrades over at MassResistance.
Now, according to Joe.My.God, Lively is back with the anti-gay propaganda. How'd that helping the downtrodden work out for ya Scott? Scott Lively, the "Christian" jumped back on the anti-gay bandwagon like he did in Uganda:
When the Moldovan government submitted a draft antidiscrimination law to parliament last month, conservative Orthodox Christian forces in the country
treated it as a call to battle. And that call was heeded by U.S. pastor and lawyer Scott Lively, who traveled to Chisinau to warn the country against adopting any measure that would bar discrimination against homosexuals.
Marian adds that Lively "explicitly told us that this bill is just the beginning, and later homosexuals will be given rights, starting with the right to hold public demonstrations.
"Since Lively's visit, Pro Familia has created an online "black list" of Moldovan public figures who support gay rights. The list includes several parliament members and the head of state television. People who appear on the list can have their names removed by submitting a written statement opposing the antidiscrimination measure.
Can you say intimidation? Yet Scott Lively claims he had nothing to do with the vicious anti-gay attacks and murders that took place in Uganda after he testified there too.

MassResistance Does it Again!!
The religious right in America has employed a variety of strategies in its efforts to beat back the increasingly confident gay rights movement. One of those has been defamation. Many of its leaders have engaged in the crudest type of name-calling, describing LGBT people as "perverts" with "filthy habits" who seek to snatch the children of straight parents and "convert" them to gay sex. They have disseminated disparaging "facts" about gays that are simply untrue — assertions that areremarkably reminiscent of the way white intellectuals and scientists once wrote about the "bestial" black man and his supposedly threatening sexuality.

MassResistance Helps Advance Marriage Equality in Maryland
This afternoon, after careful consideration, the House Judiciary Committee voted 12-10 in favor of sending Senate Bill 116 – the Civil Marriage Protection Act – for consideration by the full House of Delegates. This is an exciting step that adds even more momentum behind marriage equality in the state of Maryland.

Anti-Gay "Christian" Leader in Britain is Outted as a Wife Beater - Could this happen here too?
Stephen Green’s monstrous and autocratic behaviour would, in any circumstance, be shocking. But the charge of arrant hypocrisy must be added — for while terrorising his wife and their four children, he was also revelling in his self-appointed public role as guardian of the nation’s morality.
Green, 60, is founder and director of Christian Voice, a fundamentalist group he set up in 1994, whose website thunders against the vices — family breakdown, crime, immorality and drink among them — that are ruining the lives of ‘real people’. Green’s pronouncements are often outrageous. For example, after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in 2005 and killed more than 1,600 people, he claimed it was a result of God’s wrath and had purified the city.
He routinely inveighs against the abolition of the death penalty, no-fault divorce, Islam,
abortion and, his particular bête noir, homosexuality. Violent crime and rape, he laments on his website, have risen dramatically in the past 50 years, while he points out that ‘virtue is derided’.
Wow, founded his own group, thunders against the vices that are ruining the lives of "real people" and concentrates on homosexuality...who would guess? It's chilling!
We don't think that enough conservatives are taking this seriously. We've already documented a horrible amount of domestic anti-family terrorism by the homosexual movement over the past several years. Unless you get involved support this struggle to help fight back, it's only going to get worse. Trust us on that. Now who is it again who follows school children around and films them, attends conferences with kids and secretly records them, gets thrown out of schools because they show up with video cameras...I'm just ask' n.

MassResistance is Boycotting the Mainstream Media
What the Boston Globe (and Springfield Republican) did to Scott Lively is in our opinion only the beginning. They are clearly out to demonize and attack us, and twist our words into propaganda against us. They may have a broad First Amendment right to do these things, but we don't have to help them. Thus, MassResistance is calling on the entire pro-family and conservative movement not to grant any interviews whatsoever with them or talk to their reporters.
So how will people ever hear of them since they won't be interviewed?
This should not preclude individuals from communicating with them -- and sounding off to them. We still encourage people to write letters to the editor to the Globe, and even submit op-ed articles. You should especially feel free to contact individual reporters with feedback on their reporting.
HUH? no interviews but don't stop yourself from talking to them...? What are these people smoking?
No worries Brian. The Boston Globe stopped quoting you after MassResistance was named a Hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, remember? Even the Mass Family Institute doesn't want to be associated with you. And the last time I looked, even the Republicans in Massachusetts were cancelling their rallies if you were speaking so no worries.
MassResistance Tries to Defend Scott Lively
Hmm...how many times in the post did Brian Camenker, AKA MassResistance use the terms "pro-family"? NINE times, yep, it had to repeat it NINE times so you know that Scott Lively and MassResistance are PRO-FAMILY.How the media poisons a "feature article" on a pro-family conservative
The heavy bias and unprofessionalism in the way the Boston Globe and other mainstream media often cover a pro-family conservative versus a liberal is quite profound, bordering on propaganda. They clearly want the casual reader to dislike (and be fearful of) the pro-family conservative, and like and trust the liberal.
But there's more:
What they didn't let Scott Lively tell you
The article would have certainly been more interesting if Scott Lively had been able to refute the charges and accusations against him. But it would not have served the Globe's purpose. For example:
* Various "gay groups," the extremist Southern Poverty Law Center, and others are given the status of experts in the article in their attacks on Lively, but he isn't given the chance to answer their accusations or discuss their credentials.
* Lively's book The Pink Swastika, now in its fifth edition, is well written and very well-researched. But it is the bane of the homosexual movement because of the truth that it tells. Read more about it here. His other books are equally good. For Pastor Rick Warren to call Lively a "Holocaust denier" is absurd and stupid. Lively (and his
Orthodox Jewish co-author) have documented much of the Holocaust.* The proposed Ugandan law that has liberals here in America so incensed proposed harsh punishments for those who knowingly expose people to AIDS and adults who seduce children or people with mental disabilities into homosexual sex acts. It's not far out of line with most people's sensibilities. But nevertheless, Lively did not propose the law; he simply told Ugandans his observations of the homosexual agenda.
* Lively's alleged "anti-gay rhetoric" is simply facts and discussion that the homosexual movement does not approve of. (In reality his approach is pro-humanity; he is full of compassion for those who have been drawn into homosexuality.)
Wow, who knew that the Southern Poverty Law Center, a group that was started to fight the Klan was a gay group? Thanks MassResistance for uncovering that one!
Pink Swastika...enough have already been written about this worthless and false piece of trash.
The Ugandan law..."It's not far out of line with most people's sensibilities." says MassResistance, interesting, because the Ugandan law authorizes the death penalty for gay people...very interesting and all the anti-gay rhetoric is "simply facts"...and MassResistance still wonders why it's a nationally recognized hate group!
MassResistance still believes that Scott Lively's opinions are considered mainstream! REALLY? Really?
Strangely, the entire MassResistance post, which has today's date, makes no mention of the convicted pedophile that managing Scott Lively's church.

Minister at Scott Lively's "Church" is a Convicted Sex Offender
A local man who served as manager of the Holy Grounds Coffee Shop on State Street -- a cafe operated by anti-gay pastor Scott Lively that serves free coffee and offers conversation to teenage visitors -- is a sex offender from New York who was imprisoned for the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old girl in 1995, according to police.
Police detectives on Thursday arrested Michael Frediani, 38, of 453 State St., for failing to register as a Level 2 sex offender in Springfield. He was living in an apartment above the coffee house.
He was being held at the Springfield police lock-up, said Sgt. John M. Delaney, a spokesman to Police Commissioner William J. Fitchet.
In New York, Frediani is listed as a Level 3 sex offender, defined as most likely to repeat an offense.
According to Joe.My.God, Scott Lively was offering students free coffee and hot chocolate if the kids wore Lively's Jesus pins.
Now I wonder if MassResistance will report on their friend since a convicted SEX offender who was a "volunteer" manager of a coffee shop that catered to kids? On a side note, Lively supposedly have agreed to not let students into the coffee shop during school hours, isn't that nice of him?
The money quote from Scott Lively's manager:
“I talk to all the kids,” Frediani said. “We have a place that is safe.”
“The presence of God is here right now,” Frediani said Friday. “I invite God to touch
them and he does.”

Boston Herald Sportswriter Comes Out
Congratulations Steve! The more people keep coming out the harder it is for the anti-gay groups to demonize us since we are EVERYWHERE. H/T to Joe.My.GodOver the past couple of months I have discussed the coming-out process with my family and a few friends, and have had sit-downs with Herald editor-in-chief Joe Sciacca and sports editor Hank Hryniewicz, as well as with WEEI’s Glenn Ordway. They’ve been great, as have my friends and family.
But during this same period, I have read sobering stories about people who came undone, killing themselves after being outed. These tragic events helped guide me to the belief that if more people are able to be honest about who they are, ultimately fewer people will feel such devastating pressure.
It’s my hope that from now on I’ll be more involved. I’m not really sure what I mean by being “involved,” but this is a start: I’m gay.

Anti-Gay Scott Lively Tries to Reinvent Himself
Scott Lively, the guy who wrote the "Pink Swastika", was MassResistance's choice for Governor in last year's election and who spoke in Uganda in favor of the legislation that now advocates death for gay people said he's changed even though he's still preaching against homosexuality and says gay people are the reason American is in moral decline. From the Boston Globe:
He gained international attention after he was accused of stoking violence against gays in Uganda. One of his books, “Pink Swastika,’’ argues that Hitler and other Nazi leaders were gay. Another provides seven steps to “recruit-proof’’ your child from gay activists.
But Scott Lively says he is toning down his antigay rhetoric and shifting his focus to helping the downtrodden. And he’s found a home and a receptive audience in this struggling city where many, but not all, have embraced his mission to “re-Christianize Springfield.’’
Toning down his antigay rhetoric? How about trying to hide it.
After working for years as a conservative activist in California, he moved to Springfield, he said, at the invitation of Alexey Ledyaev, a Latvian pastor who offered him a position at his church, New Generation Christian Center. Gay rights groups have accused Ledyaev of fomenting antigay sentiment in the former Soviet Union. But Lively says he was inspired by Ledyaev’s call to “transform cities for Jesus.’’
And was anyone surprised when a HUGE group from Springfield showed up at the Massachusetts Constitutional Conventions made up of Russian immigrants.

MassResistance Started the Ball Rolling...
I guess they can't type husband, maybe they don't know how to spell it? And I guess "notorious gay activist" is same as MassResistance's "most vicious anti-family homosexual activist"Massachusetts Republican Senator, Scott Brown, took one more step out of the RINO closet last week, when he invited a notorious gay activist, and his “life mate,” to attend the ceremony repealing the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” legislation on gays in the military.
then it gets more interesting:
Contrast that with what MassResistance originally posted:Many signatories of the popular legislation were attacked and harassed at their homes and work; others were threatened with being fired and shunned from local gatherings, reports MassResistance.
Lang has expanded his KnowThyNeighbor campaign to other states where efforts to put similar amendments on the ballot were conducted. He has also led many other violent attacks and instigated intimidation tactics against parents’ rights groups and churches, according to MassResistance.
As a result, many people who signed the marriage petition were harassed at their home and at work. People were threatened with loss of jobs. They were shunned at local gatherings. Some were attacked in newspaper articles. It was an act of intimidation on a huge scale, and was traumatic for all of us. Many people have now refuse[sic] to sign pro-family petitions at all because of this.
MassResistance appears to be making up all this stuff. Who was harassed? Who's jobs were threatened? There is at least one case where a signers of the petition physically attacked a Marriage Equality supporter.
What's this intimidation thing they speak of? MassResistance takes pride in their intimidation of GLBT people including children. For example look here, here, here, here and here.
The other issue is that these anti-bigots recycle the anti-gay stories and expand upon it without any proof. The Right Perceptive website now has people being attacked in their homes and at work because they signed the petition, BS! They also have the Knowthyneighbor founder leading violent attacks.
As no surprise the comments on this post at The Right Perspective are REALLY telling too:
andFree Hal Turner says
Hal Turner sits in jail while this FAGGOT gets preferred treatment from a sitting Senator? FUCK the goddamn FAGGOT even looks like Hal.
FireFox says
Scott Brown is really a bi-sexual cocksucker who ran as an “independent”. Truth is, you cannot trust ANY of them in Congress! The whole idea of the bill putting queers, faggots and cocksuckers in the military is to destroy it! It’s that simple!

Fox News Mocks Anti-Gay Groups
MassResistance: Any Grasp of Reality?
- Constantly describe you and group as "pro-family". If you don't, how is anyone to know that you are? If you don't state it at least 10 times you most likely are a homosexual activist.
- Always put quotes around the words gay, husband, wife and marriage. For extra points, keep repeating that same sex unions are not legal in Massachusetts.
- Recycle "news stories" from other anti-gay websites. There's no limit to how many times you can repeat a false gay story
- Finally, link GLBT people to the Nazi's, maybe even write a book on it!
Sen. Scott Brown has done many things recently to publicly show his distain for the pro-family people who supported him. But this is probably the most personally offensive. As the Boston Herald reported this week, Brown went out of his way to contact hardcore anti-family homosexual activist Tom Lang and give him (and his "husband") a personal invitation to the Obama's signing ceremony in Washington D.C. of the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" repeal. Lang had been part of the homosexual lobby's huge 10-month effort to persuade Brown to abandon his position against the repeal, and switch to supporting it. Brown apparently decided to reward him for his success...
A horrible anti-family homosexual activist
Lang is arguably the most vicious anti-family homosexual activist in Massachusetts.
Back in 2005 over 170,000 people signed petitions to get the Marriage Amendment on the ballot in Massachusetts. Soon afterwards Tom Lang and his "husband" Alex Westerhoff set up a website called KnowThyNeighbor. There they posted the names and addresses of all the signers and invited people to contact them and confront them. (They've also taken it nationwide, and have led similar efforts in Arkansas, Florida, Oregon, and Washington.)
As a result, many people who signed the marriage petition were harassed at their homes and at work. People were threatened with loss of jobs. They were shunned at local gatherings. Some were attacked in newspaper articles.
It was an act of intimidation on a huge scale, and was traumatic for all of us. Many people have now refuse to sign pro-family petitions at all because of this.
Since then, Lang and Westerhoff (who are "married") have continued their reign of anti-family terror. Their activities include:
