This from the “Christian” Civic league of Maine:

Today is election day 2005. The people of Maine will vote about sex, again. Many don't know this is the subject they are deciding -- sexual morality. They have believed the dark lies about our state. They think we are a state of bigots who hate homosexuals. This deception is made possible by the institutions of Maine. The media, the political parties, the government and even the Catholic Diocese of Maine. The responsibility for the corruption of our youth will lie with them.The hands of the Christian Civic League of Maine, Coalition for Marriage, Maine Grassroots Coalition and every YES voter today will be mercifully clean.

God has washed them. He is the only one with enough power to scrape away the evil filth that is now known in the west as the left.To continue with the hand metaphor -- support for homosexuality is like creating a cake you plan to eat with your bare hands using mud from a pig sty while recognizing the evil of this ideology is like raising undefiled hands to heaven thankful for His miraculous salvation.

However, the best part is the end of this “Christian” piece:

I am thankful for the Christian Civic League of Maine. We will continue to support all Christians who choose active involvement in either political party, or no political party. Our concern is good citizenship. Good citizens support life and family. Apathetic and evil citizens support homosexuality and abortion.

So all you people out there, you know who you are. You are EVIL, PURE EVIL! so beware of the Christian Civic League when they come calling with their wooden stakes and silver bullets all in the name of God.

If you recall, the CCL of Maine is headed by Michael Heath. He's the guy who threatened to out the Maine Legislators:

Help the League stand for righteousness."

Oh, days (weeks?) later he then apologized, sort of:

I am sorry for indicating that the League is going to keep a list of the "sexual orientation" of public policy makers and leaders. In the midst of fighting for something I feel very strong about I wrote and said things that I should not have written and spoken. I feel terrible that my words and conduct have besmirched the fine reputation and important ministry of the Christian Civic League of Maine. And I apologize to the Legislature and the people of Maine.

Now he's back to calling people evil and yet he's still the head of a "Christian" group. I wonder how close he is to Fred Phelp's Westboro Baptist Church?

MassResistance Loses on the North and the South

Two HUGE defeats for allies of MassResistance:

• UPDATE: Maine group drops anti-gay rights push

An initiative campaign to repeal Maine’s gay rights law and put in place roadblocks to gay marriages and adoptions is being abandoned, leaders of the campaign said Thursday.

"We’re pulling the plug," said Michael Heath, executive director of the Christian Civic League of Maine. Heath said the evangelical group failed to attract voter, volunteer and financial support it needed to continue its campaign.

• Puerto Rico won't toughen marriage ban

Puerto Rico's House of Representatives has denied a measure to toughen a ban on same-sex marriage.

Rep. Victor Garcia San Inocencio says Resolution 99 failed on Thursday to make it to the House floor for voting, effectively killing the proposal for this legislative term.

If you recall, Mike Heath of the CCL of Maine is a pal of Brian Camenker and this is another defeat for anti-gay activists in Maine. Heath got another anti-gay measure on the Maine ballot and it lost so apparently the thought he'd try again only this time it didn't even make it to the ballot. In a podcast with the CCL Brian blamed the loss of the marriage amendment in Mass on the MFI because it was weak and not strong enough (like what Heath wanted in Maine but couldn't even get the signatures for)

On the second bullet, MassResistance Dandy Mad Dad Parker went down to Puerto Rico to rally the troops against gay marriage. Unfortunately for them it didn't pass the legislature.

Get Out Your Boots, the BS is high!

Well, in Article Hate's email update they distort the truth about a couple of things this week:

Ed Flynn: 8th out of 8 candidates for 4 at-large Boston City Council seats.This really hurt. He was the only pro-marriage, pro-life candidate (and veteran) of that bunch. The rest all caved in, one way or another, to the gay agenda in Boston. We figured that the legacy of his father, former Boston mayor Ray Flynn, would help. But unfortunately, (1) he had an anemic, underfunded organization and (2) his campaign didn't get the pro-family forces involved until it was too late. (We made sure that 44,000 Boston voters got phone calls on the last day, but that was about it.) Click here for election results.

My opinion, the legacy of his father had a definite effect on his humiliating defeat. The old man's a rabid anti-gay activist and the son appeared to be a chip off the old block. Having Article 8 devote a lot of its "radio hour" to the veteran couldn't have helped either (whenever Article 8 supports something, most rational people back off which could prove helpful when they end of supporting the Voteonmarriage people. The fact that Ed Flynn's campaign photo looked like a mug shot was a negative too, afterall this isn't Texas.

Texas overwhelmingly approves constitutional amendment banning gay "marriage".There are still some places where sanity can be found. More than three-quarters of Texans who went to the polls Tuesday (76%-24%) voted to approve a state constitutional amendment defining marriage as only the union between a man and woman.

Yeah, Texas is real sane, it gave us the current President of the U.S. and Tom Delay, the indicted former speaker of the House, go figure. Additionally, the KKK was heavily involved in this anti-gay marriage amendment too. I guess this must be sanity that Article Hate is talking about.

Voters in Maine vote NOT to repeal radical homosexual law. This past spring, the Maine Legislature passed the most radical homosexual "rights" law in the country. It makes it a crime to discriminate on "sexual identity or expression" (i.e., a man wearing a dress, etc.) in the whole range of public and private spheres of life, including the schools. This is one of the homosexual movement's huge goals. The Christian Civic League of Maine forced it on the ballot, but the repeal lost 209,126 to 171,446 (55% to 45%). The homosexual lobby's next goal in Maine: gay "marriage."

They go into such detail about how the "Christian Civic League of Maine" was outspent and how the pro-gay media helped and all the outside organizations that were involved, blah blah blah, lots of excuses. Plain and simple, the people of Maine did not want to discriminate, period. And how come Article 8 is always using this "man wearing a dress analogy"? What about women wearing pants, that's cross dressing too, what happened to equal rights for men?

They (and the Concerned Women of America, you know, an out of state group) accuse the Pro-equality forces of using "smear tactics" and "dirty tricks". I guess linking an amendment banning discrimination in employment and housing to same sex marriage isn't dirty tricks at all(well not in these bigots eyes). All of David Parker's appearances did nothing to help them either or did they...? Thank you David! Speaking of Mad Dad:

Well, they brought David Parker their studios in New York for a 1 pm appearance on Fox's "Dayside" TV show. About noon we got a call from David. He was getting bumped for some breaking news. Apparently, a house blew up back in Lexington (not David's, thankfully!) that was already making national news. So that was that.

They said they'll bring him back down to do it again, maybe next week or the week afterwards.

Wasn't it a week ago that the same thing happened when David was scheduled for "The O'Reilly Factor"? Bumped for a hurricane. That's show biz. Stay tuned.

Bumped...hmm... are you sure it wasn't a pro-gay Fox News producer or maybe...God? A faithful reader writes:

Regarding Parker getting bumped... I taped "Dayside" and while I only fast-forwarded through it, I didn't see any mention of the Lexington house explosion and fire. They had time for a puff piece about "sexiest" people. In the segment, they put the head of one of the co-hosts over a picture of a body builder (for humor, I guess). So it wasn't that a major news story kept him off the air. Also, weren't they saying one or two newsletters ago that David Parker couldn't testify at the H1050 hearings because he couldn't take off any more time from work? But he can go down to New York on a Wednesday?

David Parker, the man who wouldn't leave a Lexington School unless police arrested him, is now on a "tour" of Maine along with Article 8's Brian Camenker (this is the group and the man that David Parker says he has nothing to do with!).

Parker said he has no affiliation with any of the many groups which have taken on his cause. He said he shares a certain "unity of purpose" with the Article 8 Alliance and Lexington Parents for Respect, but is not a member.

"There's a degree of association, but they do not speak for me," said Parker.

According to MaineToday.com, David Parker is going to "tour" the state of Maine with the group Coalition for Marriage to gather signatures to "veto" homosexual rights in Maine. The group says:

David Parker is only one of many who have been arrested for questioning the hidden agenda of the homosexual rights movement - and this is only the calm before the storm. The jailing of David Parker and Michael Macarvage and many others are just the first drops of rain in a gathering storm. When homosexuals succeed in their effort to gain absolute power, they will vent their fury on men of God with all the rage of the crowd gathered outside Abraham's door in Sodom and Gomorrah.

Now this is the same man (Parker) who said at the hearing that he does not object to the mention of same-sex families or any similar content but wants to have notification of when such topics will come up in the classroom on a formal basis.

He also said: "I feel for them because they think I'm trying to move between them and their children," he said, adding respect is taught in his house with his children explicitly instructed not to denigrate children from families different from their own. "It hurts me that they're hurt."

and yet he is touring Maine to make sure that those same families have no rights and are stripped of what little rights they may already have. David, it sure sounds like you are hurting because of all the damage you are causing to other families.

Marriage Equality Hearing in Maine

Today was the marriage equality hearing in Maine for the LD1118 and LD 1020 and guess who was there....

If you guessed Mad Dad David Parker, you were right. He talked about his failed lawsuits and wasn't exactly telling the whole truth. It took another citizen from Maine, who runs a protection from violence program in Portland, to set the record straight (so to speak). He stated how David Parker got arrested because he told the police that he was not leaving the elementary school until they arrested him. He also read from the book which David Parker is against "Who's in a Family":

"Laura and Kyle live with their two moms, Joyce and Emily, and a poodle named Daisy. It takes all four of them to give Daisy a bath"

Wow, that's SO controversial!

You might still be able to catch the hearing because there are lots of people present.

Picking and Choosing Which Parts of the Bible to Follow

The anti-gay groups always get their panties in a wad when they're called on the things they say or have stated in the past. Case in point, Porno Pete, of Americans for the Truth about Homosexuality (say that 3 times fast and how did he become such an authority?) is all upset because he and his other anti-gay cohort Brian Camenker held a press conference in Maine that few people attended. It was so sparsely attended that even the groups against marriage equality in Maine didn't attend or want to be linked to these wackos.

Jesse Connelly, the head of the No on 1 campaign was interviewed after the Peter's dismal PR event and stated the following:

“And they [referring to leaders of the pro-traditional-marriage group 'Stand For Marriage'] can’t stand behind Peter LaBarbera, who has attacked Ben & Jerry’s, supported rescinding women’s right to vote and believes we should return to the Old Testament where gay people were stoned…..”

Well, The Peter doesn't want people to think he's for violence, of course not, he is always saying that we are supposed to be following the Bible, however, I guess he's all for picking and choosing which parts of the Bible he wants everyone else to follow.


Now I'm not theologian, but if you're going to quote from the Bible as a reason to deny gay people their civil rights then you can't blame people for assuming that you agree with the other parts of the Bible that YOU don't agree with. It's all or nothing baby.


But now the Peter wants an apology. I think he's just bringing up this petty issue because no one paid attention to their pathetic PR event and he needs to make news somehow. Fundraising is down and when you're competing with Brian Camenker for those dwindling anti-gay dollars it's either this or posting your photo with a failed presidential candidate.

Summer's Over!

Hi all! No, MassResistance didn't kidnap me and send me to an ex-gay camp.

I haven't posted anything because Brian and Amy have finally become like that fly that gets stuck between the closed window and screen. They fly around a bit then tucker out , crawl around at the bottom of the window sill then get more tuckered out from flying in circles. Frankly, MassResistance is doing my job for me!

Ever since MassResistance was named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center they have gone unnoticed around here. (that's probably why they complain about it so much) Marriage Equality passed in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine and you didn't see hide nor hair of them in any of those states. That's not to say that the other right wings wackos like Porno Pete and the American Family Association's One News Now haven't stopped listening to them, however, New England has. Oh, but their partner in anti-gay hate, Mad Dad David Parker did make the rounds. I caught him giving "testimony" during the huge public hearing on the marriage equality bill in Maine, he was essentially laughed off the podium however (Mainers do not like outsiders interfering with their business). Additionally, Maggie Gallagher, anti-gay marriage professional from NOM was also in the region giving what I guess would be called a pep talk to the people in RI since that is the only New England state that doesn't have marriage equality...yet.

Apparently, the only big news about MassResistance is that Google has a disclaimer on their MassResistance Blog that warns the viewer of objectionable content. Of course, this being MassResistance, Brian Camenker has another conspiracy theory about that too.

All in all it's been a pretty good summer, well, except for the weather but I, unlike Brian Camenker, wouldn't blame marriage equality for that. Anyhow, I hope to continue with the blog because you know MassResistance is itching to make the Southern Poverty Law Center's hate group list for another year, third time's the charm!

Massresistance: The Radio Show Continues!

Well people, we got another shout out from the Massresistance Duo Brian and Amy on their recent Hate Show. They want people to call the station and tell them how much you LOVE their show. That's sounds kinda weird since they are paying for the airtime themselves. The radio station also continues the announcement (I'm paraphrasing) "the opinions of this radio show DO NOT reflect the opinions of the radio station, its staff or it's owners".

Today's show was the same load of crap, obsessing about transgender issues and bathrooms. However Amy definitely dominated the program. (Is she wearing men's clothing today, i.e., pants?) Oh they do so love gender specific clothing.

Brian and Amy live in the past hence their bringing up a story from 2004. Amy threatens "It's only going to get worse" and "It's going to be happening here". I guess its because there is some bill coming up that they don't like. Apparently they've stopped talking about any of the bills they sent to the Legislature since no is paying attention to their anti-gay antics.

It's nice that Brian and Amy fully understands the issues around people who are transgender by making stupid comments like "well one day the person can think they are a man and the next like a woman". It only leaves me to wonder if this is how they go about their day, do they switch their gender identity every other day?

They had some guy from Citizens for a limited Taxation on their show and actually talked about something that didn't have to do with gay people, I know, what a shocker!

In their last segment they bring back that "Christian" Mike Heath from Maine (he's the guy who complained about the Victoria's Secret Windows displays). Mike is losing his own battle in Maine with his anti-gay activism so I'm sure he, Brian and Amy have a lot to talk about. But instead they talk about gambling in the state.

Mike Heath just said that homosexual activity is associated with gambling lifestyle. I knew they would link it somehow but I was betting that Brian would have been the one to bring it up.

It ended with the obligatory begging for money and some nonsense about they are like Thomas Jefferson, LOL.

All the praying by the bigots couldn't help Maine turn back the clock. The people have spoken and they don't believe in discrimination. I think Michael Heath of the "Christian" Civic League of Maine should probably move to Kansas because it looks like Kansas is the one state in this country that does not want to move forward. (Do they still have outhouses there too?) It's Monkey Scopes Time!

Also, even with most of Massresistance: The Radio Show's full hour this past weekend devoted to "bulleting" Ed Fynn, the son of anti-gay former Boston Mayor Ray Flynn, he couldn't win. I guess Ed needed a little more than the 12 Article 8 votes he got. BTW, if you did get to catch the former mayor on NECN last night, he didn't look too good. I couldn't tell if it was because his son was getting slaughtered in the ballot boxes or Kris Mineau from MFI had just called and told him that they can't get the 120,000 signatures (they said they'd get in one day) for the anti-gay amendment.

I think there's a couple of more seats on that plane to Kansas Ray! Don't forget to drive by and pick up Brian and Amy from Article 8 on your way to the airport.

Want Some Cheese with that Whine?

This Tuesday, August 2, 2005, David Parker will again be in a Concord courthouse to refute the trespassing charges against him. In an interesting piece of propaganda, Parker's attorney, Neil S. Tassel, wrote a guest commentary for the Lexington Minuteman. While on one hand he says that he wants to "clarify numerous inaccuracies" he instead creates new ones:

First of all, Mr. Parker does not hate homosexuals or their families. In fact he is an exceptionally kind hearted man, who is anguished that his arrest has caused any pain to this community.

I guess we are supposed to forget that he planned his arrest and refused to leave the school until the police arrested him. Additionally, because of his arrest, he has been using his "martyr" status around the country by going onto Fox News and appearing at several road shows in Maine to get the state to remove protections for gays and lesbians.

...Many might be interested to learn that Mr. Parker's view of homosexuality resulted in-part from the illness contacted by his best friend who was gay. When Parker observed signs of his friend's illness, he urged him to obtain medical care and personally underwent a preventative series of gamma-globulin shots, so that he too, would not be overcome by hepatitis. The illness of his friend had a profound effect on Mr. Parker's beliefs.

We are supposed to excuse his behavior because of this? This is a new tactic, his views of homosexuality were based on his friend's illness. Sounds to me like the "gay panic" defense. What was Mr. Parker doing with his roommate that made himself concerned that he was also going to contract hepatitis? My guess is NOTHING so if he is so smart (the attorney says he has a Ph.D) then he would have known that he was really at no risk for contracting Hepatitis. From the National Center for infectious Diseases:

Hepatitis A Virus (HAV) Hepatitis A virus is spread from person to person by putting something in the mouth that has been contaminated with the stool of a person with hepatitis A. This type of transmission is called "fecal-oral." Most infections result from contact with a household member or sex partner who is infected with HAV. Casual contact, as in the usual office, factory, or school setting, does not spread the virus.

Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) HBV is spread when blood or body fluids from an infected person enters the body of a person who is not infected. For example, HBV is spread through having sex with an infected person without using a condom (the efficacy of latex condoms in preventing infection with HBV is unknown, but their proper use might reduce transmission), by sharing
drugs, needles, or "works" when "shooting" drugs, through needlesticks or sharps exposures on the job, or from an infected mother to her baby during birth.

Hepatitis C Virus (HCV)HCV is spread when blood or body fluids from an infected person enters the body of a person who is not infected. He goes on:

Second, Mr. Parker is not against a book. This commonly heard misconception is both rampant and untrue. The book sent home with their son simply spurred the Parkers into action. To label the Parkers as "book haters" is to try to portray them as book burning extremists which is being done for apparent political gain.

It's funny that Article 8, who does most of the talking for Parker and who's leader, Brian Camenker, appeared with Parker on Fox News takes issue with this point. See their website. I have also read a lot about this issue and I never read or heard anyone call the Parkers book burners. It sounds like the attorney is trying to draw sympathy for David Parker.

The Parkers' proposal was simple: notify them in advance if there is a planned discussion about same-sex issues, and, if an adult becomes involved in a discussion spontaneously begun by a child, then remove their child from the discussion. Their concern is that impressionable children will hear for the first time from a respected adult that a homosexual headed family is a normal family structure, and an equally "good" one at that. Regardless of whether one agrees with that premise, it is a matter of one's values and beliefs. It is not borne in hate, but in a concern for his children and a desire to see them equipped to make decisions in a healthy manner.

I guess the Parkers would not want a "respected adult" who is gay to teach their child either? Will they want their own background checks to make sure that the teachers are heterosexual? Wouldn't this rationale which they are advocating also allow people who didn't want they children to learn about African-American or Jewish families to be removed from the classroom discussion? How about those people that believe that the holocaust didn't exist, should those families be able to remove their children from all discussions of the hate caused by Hitler?

All in all, it's a feeble attempt of Parker's attorney to try and generate sympathy for a man that has used his arrest to fuel hatred around the country. If Parker cared so much about the pain he had caused he never would have allowed Article 8 to parade his picture around and go on the road shows in Maine touting his "civil disobedience". Clearly he is a man of principles, misguided ones.

MassResistance's Legislative Delusions Continue

MassResistance has been posting some real oddball stuff lately but this takes the cake. They've always been a far off fringe group however only now are just beginning to realize it:

We believe that this is the year that the outrage of parents and citizens will finally boil over. Maybe it's the David Parker case, (which has lost on every level it's been appealed to even the Supreme Court who refused to hear it) maybe it's the economy (yeah, you're losing your retirement, but dammit, those gay shouldn't be getting married), maybe it's the enormous public money given to homosexual activists and other special interests in the schools and everywhere else (yeah, the homosexuals are rolling around naked in all that dough, we're all over Wall Street you know and I'm sure Scott Lively will be writing a new book on how the homosexuals are responsible for the Bush Depression). The Legislature is finally going to feel the wrath of our side. (This is great, I can't wait to see this happen, Hey Brian, still gathering those signatures to repeal State laws?) We've made sure that there are some good bills to clean things up. (OK, how many State Legislators are going to sign onto a bill by a nationally recognized hate group,...anyone...?)

Their whole list of "good bills" reads like a Dick and Jane novel: This bill good, their bill bad and they are still beating that Mad Dad Parker issue to death. Nobody cares. I'd recommend Mad Dad Parker spent less time in State court and more time on a basketball or squash court.

MassResistance also is touting that they are one of 22 "pro-family" groups confronting the Day of Silence. Who are these other "pro-family" groups (lucky for them they can't be put in jail for misrepresentation) Take a gander:

(There are so many nobodies that I got tired of googling them all. You would think if they were that prominent they would be well known, I guess not! Feel free to share your knowledge of these nobodies in the comments section)

It's a virtual Who's Who of inconsequential people. It starts off with Sandy "I used to be with the Concerned Women of America" Rios, a divorced woman who I'm sure is concerned with family values and it includes the three losers from Massresistance (and as Bostonph points out, Amy is listed as Director of Operations, LOL). The rest are people who don't even blip the radar and they're supposed to be "prominent"!

Talk about trying to make oneself appear important! I'm sure Romney is shaking in his shoes.

I Just Called To Say I Love You!

It's taken me a bit but I finally got around to listen to Brian Camenker on The Christian Education League's podcast (it's titled Homosexual Totalitarianism) and let me tell you, if you like lies and deception, you'll love it!. I guess Brian must have phoned right after the ConCon ended so Mike Heath of the Maine Christian League could get the "scoop" on what happened. Throughout the podcast Brian tries to link himself alongside MFI as part of the"pro-family movement" in Massachusetts (when in reality no other so-called "pro-family" group in Massachusetts will even mention their name never mind link themselves to Massresistance/Article 8/Brian Camenker.)


On the whole podcast, it's pretty lame, it's really more of the same. Same old stories, same old references, he must have used the term "gloat" about 20 times (OK, I'm exaggerating, I think it was 10). He admonish MFI for putting forth the marriage amendment they did and claims it didn't pass because it was weak when everyone, including MFI, knows that they put forth that amendment because an amendment nulling all marriages since May 2007 would be unconstitutional. Then again, Brian still expects the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court judges to get removed and that his bills will get voted on, reality has never been one of his strong suits.


I laughed when he even got in a plug for Mad Dad himself, David Parker. He dropped the "David Parker got arrested" line. (BTW, if you want to catch some recent pictures of Parker click here. Massresistance, clueless as ever, posts a picture of Parker with his interpreter and only manages to insult the interpreter as seen on the right.)

There is also a line at the end of the podcast that made me laugh. Michael Health, the guy who made the podcast, tells Brian that he should probably let him go because Brian probably has other "media" to talk to! That one had me rolling on the floor!

NOM Hate Tour Wants Small Turnouts

Hat tip to Joe.My.God for this story about how the National Organization for Marriage wants low turnouts for their bus tour so that they can use the video footage to claim that they are being outnumbered and threatened by those angry "homosexual activists". Joe posted a press release by the HRC:

"The bus tour is a total sham, plain and simple," said Fred Sainz, HRC's vice president of communications. "NOM's highly-touted bus tour is less about so-called 'traditional marriage' and more about creating an elaborate and cynical stunt. NOM rolled out a summer of nationwide events in order to draw lawful protesters, all so that NOM and its allies can pepper ongoing lawsuits challenging public disclosure laws with made-up stories of harassment. This unprecedented victimization crusade is the lowest denominator of political activism, and it won't fly."

In events in seven states, NOM has routinely played to crowds reportedly as small as two dozen people including NOM staff members. The organization's public statements on the bus tour have barely mentioned the content of the programs or the substance of its anti-LGBT message, instead focusing attention on much larger counter-protests that NOM has attacked as intimidation and harassment. NOM issued a press release last Friday saying that LGBT supporters have "approached and threatened children," engaged in "bullying tactics" and committed acts of harassment. However, NOM's uncorroborated claims belie legitimate local media reports demonstrating that pro-equality supporters, which have vastly outnumbered NOM's faithful, have been civil. NOM has yet to document any illegal activity or actual harassment, despite the presence of law enforcement at all the events.

NOM's efforts to trump up false claims of harassment are part of a radical nationwide plan to evade long-established public disclosure laws and to hide their political activities from legitimate scrutiny and accountability. In doing so, NOM has falsely alleged that their donors have been harassed and intimidated across the country to justify why it shouldn't have to play by the same rules as everyone else. These tactics have prompted a state ethics investigation in Maine and recent court defeats across
the country.

Of course there have been no arrests at any of the stops and all the ranting and raving has been done by NOM's leader Brian Brown who claims after the Providence stop that "their children were afraid" It's always all about the children.

However, even with the huge turnouts by the Marriage Equality supporters, there have been no signs like this:

One is the Loneliest Number

At first I thought Massresistance's latest rant was just that, her latest rant. Then after pondering it for a bit it hit me, Ms. Massresistance is very lonely:

Last week, we were surprised to see that one of VoteOnMarriage's spokespersons agreed to be interviewed by the extremist homosexual newspaper, Bay Windows. ["VoteOnMarriage.org spokeswoman says another ballot campaign unlikely," 6-22-07.] One Ms. Barstow said another marriage amendment campaign is unlikely. Though we've heard VOM is still seriously considering one.)

Speaking with Bay Windows is in line with VOM's thinking --that it's possible to dialogue with these people, that MassEquality's Marc Solomon is an honorable man, and all that. But wait -- we're confused: Didn't we just read immediately after VOM's defeat that Kris Mineau, main spokesman for VOM, was accusing legislators of taking bribes? And where did those bribes come from? The very close-knit radical homosexual community, led by MassEquality and rallied by Bay Windows? Yet Barstow complimented MassEquality on doing a great job defeating her amendment! And bared her supporters' emotions to Bay Windows. Unbelievable

The title of her post is VoteOnMarriage Continues to Consort with Enemy which is really what got me to thinking:

No One Wants to Consort with Massresistance!

It's true! I think her latest post is a cry for help since no one on God's green earth is willing to stand side by side with her and Brian in their feeble attempt to rid the world of gay and lesbian people. Oh sure, they may have some Internet buddies in Maine who Brian can call now (Hat tip to MassMarrier) and then, but when push comes to shove, these buddies would just as soon thrown them under the bus as the Vote on Marriage Legislators would try to leverage their "No" vote for a committee chair (The leading powers in the State house refused to give perks for votes but Ms. Massresistance fails to mention that).

So today post makes me sad. Massresistance's only contact with people is when they attend gay pride rallies and parades and now that the anti-gay marriage amendment is dead there will probably be less meetings and events for them to videotape or record so what is an anti-gay bigot to do? We can take some consolation in that they have their past recordings. Even if no one bothers with them ever again, they can still watch and listen to the past and remember when they got mannequins removed from a Macy's window...and the world watched.....and laughed.

The Final "Successes" # 21, 22 & 23

Yes, we are in the home stretch! And now, the last of the "successes":

Number 21:

Host weekly radio show on WTTT 1150 AM Boston (Salem Radio Network), broadcast twice weekly and available on website, the only Boston media taking on controversial pro-family issues. (Oct. 2005-ongoing)

Make that the past tense, HOSTED. When they were kicked off the air they blamed Mitt Romney (go figure). They ended up at a radio station in Cambridge until they were gone from that one too. In both instances they had to pay the station to put them on the air. The Cambridge station made an announcement before and after their show which stated that the views of the show DID NOT reflect the radio station or it's managment. Their biggest audience appeared to be the gay community who played the MassResistance Drinking game, they took a drink every time Brian said "Oh man" on the air. Most of the audience was drunk within 5 minutes which made the show even more funnier.


Number 22:

Pro-family voice at conventions and conferences, most recently at Values Voters Conference (Washington, D.C., 3/06), Vermont Renewal (9/06), Christian Civic League of Maine (10/06).

They LOVE LOVE LOVE to call themselves "pro-family" yet they haven't actually helped any families. (If you have to call yourself "pro-family" it's because you're not and people just thing you're a hate group) It's no surprise that Brian would be on the anti-gay conference circuit. It was probably one of these conventions that brought them to the attention of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Number 23:

Published nationally significant reports, "The Mitt Romney Deception" (recently discussed on the FoxNews "Brit Hume" national TV show) and "Mitt Romney: Father of Gay Marriage" which continue to reverberate on the national political and media scene. These reports explained Romney's liberal positions and actions over the years, and document his unconstitutional directives to his Dept. of Public Health, Justices of the Peace, and Town Clerks throughout Massachusetts which began same-sex "marriages" in 2004. (Nov. 2006-ongoing)

"Nationally significant reports" LOL. They published nationally significant reports like I publish this blog, online and no one reads them. Their delusions are both funny AND sad. Real conservatives think they're crazy.

Well, that's the mile long version of all the "good" things that MassResistance claims to do. I'd write more but I'm working on a MAJOR PROJECT, which is underway.

Children Will Listen

Ms. Massresistance's latest rants are about students holding mock hearings in the Massachusetts statehouse:

Two mock bills advocated legalizing polygamy, and we heard about a mock hearing on the subject that afternoon in the State House. The polygamy bills were mixed in with some silly bills (annex Maine; change the state muffin from corn to cranberry, etc.), and others on arguably legitimate topics (legalize gambling; require state-owned vehicles to use alternative energy; ban cell phones in public schools, etc.).

Further down she has the nerve to ask:

Now who is putting these ideas [polygamy] into young teens' heads?

Well Lordy Ms. Massresistance, YOU did. She first mentions polygamy way back in Feb 2005, only the second month after she started posting:
And then she essentially gives the students arguments for their mock hearing:

What's the problem with letting the students discuss it? Is she afraid they will bring up Jacob and all his wives from the Old Testament and use the argument that "The Bible said it was OK"? I'm guessing she just wants the kids to not think for themselves even though her and her ilk have been talking about the "slippery slope" for years with their children in tow.

Yawn, Massresistance Is Getting Increasingly Boring

Todays post Ms. M is talking about "safe zones" and she calls it the "latest" thing. However, I wrote about this on August 11th after Article 8 had talked about it then and it was still old news. I mean please people don't you have anything new to attack us with? Come on Ms. Massresistance (or are you calling yourself Mr. today because we would accept you as you are you know!) you did say "Bay Windows, our favorite Thursday read". You must have something new that's making you drool.

Although I shouldn't goof on her for repeating Article 8 posts because I suspect that Ms. Massresistance is also the writer for the Article 8 website. I think its only her and Camenker that make up Article 8 and he's typically off doing PR for David Parker in Maine or some other state that wants to discriminate against GLBT folks so she has to stay back and write the dribble. She did add one interesting facet to her rather mundane post

The very term "safe zone" implies to the student that there's something available at school that he doesn't have at home, at a relative's, at a friend's, or at his church: a "safe" place where he can "just be himself."

Can you imagine, for a moment, being the gay child of Ms. Massresistance? He/she would most definitely need a safe zone somewhere and a good psychologist. Don't laugh, it is possible, God does have a sense of humor, just ask Phyllis Schlafly, Allan Keyes or Dick Cheney. They all have gay and lesbian offspring. Is it in the genes or just bad parenting, you decide.
