SPLC Lists MassResistance as a Hate Group

Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 26, 2008, the Southern Poverty Law Center will host a webcast (but you need to register first):

SPLC President Richard Cohen and Editor of SPLC's Intelligence Report Mark Potok will discuss new findings and answer your questions about the recently released Year in Hate report.

The report outlines an alarming trend - a 48% growth in the number of hate groups operating in the United States since 2000. The count now stands at 888 - a record high, due in large part to anti-immigration fervor in our country.

Mark is one of the harshest critics of the anti-immigration rhetoric of pundits like Lou Dobbs. He and Richard will describe how SPLC stands strong against the hate, racism and intolerance infecting America during the 30-minute audio webcast.

Learn how SPLC not only tracks and exposes the activities of hate groups in our country – but also uses innovative legal strategies to put them out of business.

You can also take a stand against hate by logging onto the SPLC's site and putting yourself on the map. Let's put organizations like MassResistance out of business:
Learn to respond to everyday bigotry and speak out against hate through our Speak Up! and 10 Ways to Fight Hate publications.

Be sure to call your state legislators and let them know that MassResistance is identified as a Hate Group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. They need to know who they are listening to.

Please be sure to point out to SPLC any hate groups not on their list like Americans for Truth About Homosexuality! I contacted them and they were unaware of Peter LaBarbera and Matt Barber's CWA. We need for these groups to be see for what they are...propaganda machines.
