Who's Not Obsessed with Homosexuals?

MassResistance's latest post last Thursday was about the Massachusetts legislative races. See what some of their "in depth analysis" consists of:
  • "The homosexual lobby recruited"
  • Sen. Scott Brown is being challenged by a wacky lesbian activist,
  • showered with money by the homosexual lobby.
  • homosexual-related issues
  • The homo lobby

And they're still scratching their heads as to why the Southern Poverty Law Center named MassResistance a hate group:

Recently, the SPLC listed MassResistance as a "hate group" -- though we fail to meet their own definition of an organization "that [goes] beyond mere disagreement with homosexuality by subjecting gays and lesbians to campaigns of personal vilification.”

Well, after this Tuesday, the deadline for nomination papers for the Massachusetts legislature, it will be interesting to see which candidates support MassResistance's brand of hate and will come out and say that they support a nationally recognized hate group. In fact, I do believe it is an important question that all MassResistance's "good" candidates should be asked.

There's also been talk that MassResistance has been shopping a amendment to the budget to strip all State monies that goes to supporting gay or what they consider gay related issues but no legislator is biting. Ah, getting in bed with MassResistance is like the kiss of death.

Where Have All the Tallies Gone?

Well, it doesn't take MassResistance long to do somethings! I blogged on Friday about their fundraising, or should I say, lack of fundraising. Sure enough, today, April 14, they took down their tally board:

Alas, how will we every know if and when they reach their $150,000 fundraising goal?

Similarly, there is a post over at Pam's House Blend about Porno Pete and his failure to destroy the "Homosexual Agenda". "The Peter", as Pam calls him, is very much like MassResistance's Brian Camenker. Their biggest similarity outside of being obsessed with gay people, is that both Brian and Pete make their livings off of the gay community, or rather, at the expense of the gay community.

As we're seeing all over the country, it's not profitable anymore to go after the gays and these guys are lining their pockets with anti-gay money. So I'll end this post with a comment from the Blend about Pete's future:
He's gotta be worried sick about his funding drying up in the near future. I mean, where would someone with his background, lifelong homosexual investigator, find a job in the real world to support a family of 7?

MassResistance Fundraising Update

It looks like being named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center has hurt MassResistance's profits, er, I mean fundraising. As of today, they list $46,032 as being raised since December (and it's been at 46,000 for awhile). Here's the tally I have so far:

Jan 9th: $13,000
Feb 3rd: $32,252
Feb 9th: $36,302
Feb 15th: $37,157
Mar 6th: $38,102
Apr 6th: $46,032

Of course, that's assuming that MassResistance is honest in their figures. I know, why would they start now. But then again, look at the bright side, every day that Brian and Amy is out there vilifying gay people brings more and more people to see how pathetic and ridiculous they are.

Lexington Superintendent Gets Threatened With Violence Over Diversity Program

WBZ, WHDH, and BayWindows are reporting that Lexington School Superintendent Paul Ash has been threatened with violence over a diversity program put together by the Lexington School committee and parents:

An Internet radio talk show host based out of New Jersey has threatened the superintendent of schools in Lexington over the new diversity curriculum in town.

He is urging listeners and readers of his Web site to use force and violence against Paul Ash.

The curriculum was designed because of the lawsuit that David Parker and the Wirthins brought against the town.

And it should be no surprise that David Parker has not condemned the threats against Ash (after all, he held up in an elementary school until police arrested him) and justified the anger:

Should there be a show of force against this, yes. But violence at this time is not the answer," Parker said.

Hmm..."violence at this time is not the answer", er, David, violence is NEVER the answer. And talking about same sex families is no more talking about sex than talking about opposite sex families.

Of course, MassResistance, a recognized hate group, has gotten into the act and instead of condemning the threats just whines about the media not taking supposed threats against the Parkers seriously (did they ever contact the police?), again, no talk about all threats being bad. Tsk, tsk.

Luckily, Superintendent Paul Ash will not give in to the threats of violence and intimidation by the right wing anti-gay bigots on this.

The Final "Successes" # 21, 22 & 23

Yes, we are in the home stretch! And now, the last of the "successes":

Number 21:

Host weekly radio show on WTTT 1150 AM Boston (Salem Radio Network), broadcast twice weekly and available on website, the only Boston media taking on controversial pro-family issues. (Oct. 2005-ongoing)
Make that the past tense, HOSTED. When they were kicked off the air they blamed Mitt Romney (go figure). They ended up at a radio station in Cambridge until they were gone from that one too. In both instances they had to pay the station to put them on the air. The Cambridge station made an announcement before and after their show which stated that the views of the show DID NOT reflect the radio station or it's managment. Their biggest audience appeared to be the gay community who played the MassResistance Drinking game, they took a drink every time Brian said "Oh man" on the air. Most of the audience was drunk within 5 minutes which made the show even more funnier.

Number 22:
Pro-family voice at conventions and conferences, most recently at Values Voters Conference (Washington, D.C., 3/06), Vermont Renewal (9/06), Christian Civic League of Maine (10/06).
They LOVE LOVE LOVE to call themselves "pro-family" yet they haven't actually helped any families. (If you have to call yourself "pro-family" it's because you're not and people just thing you're a hate group) It's no surprise that Brian would be on the anti-gay conference circuit. It was probably one of these conventions that brought them to the attention of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Number 23:

Published nationally significant reports, "The Mitt Romney Deception" (recently discussed on the FoxNews "Brit Hume" national TV show) and "Mitt Romney: Father of Gay Marriage" which continue to reverberate on the national political and media scene. These reports explained Romney's liberal positions and actions over the years, and document his unconstitutional directives to his Dept. of Public Health, Justices of the Peace, and Town Clerks throughout Massachusetts which began same-sex "marriages" in 2004. (Nov. 2006-ongoing)
"Nationally significant reports" LOL. They published nationally significant reports like I publish this blog, online and no one reads them. Their delusions are both funny AND sad. Real conservatives think they're crazy.

Well, that's the mile long version of all the "good" things that MassResistance claims to do. I'd write more but I'm working on a MAJOR PROJECT, which is underway.

MassResistance "Successes" #18, 19 & 20

In a note to Wikipedia, Brian Camenker said:
MassResistance has done literally hundreds of things that could be mentioned. We could have a list of things a mile long.
yet they only list 23 "successes" on their website, I guess bandwidth is expensive.

Number 18:
Successfully pressured Gov. Romney to veto funding of homosexual programs in schools put in FY 2007 state budget, through national grassroots action. (July 2006)

See "Success #11", Romney, running for President, turns hard right, nothing to do with MassResistance, you get the picture.

Number 19:
Focused Gov. Romney's attention on excesses of "Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth," which caused Romney to begin process to disband it, but unfortunately he reversed his decision when pressured by GLBT activists. (May 2006)
See #18 above, Oh, and how is this a success since it was reversed? Oh, I guess it's a success because they focused Romney's attention on it!

Number 20:

Successfully lobbied Legislators to sustain Gov. Romney's veto of the dangerous new independent "Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth" (one of only a few of his vetoes to be upheld in the Legislature), through grassroots action. Unfortunately, through subsequent arm-twisting tactics by the Speaker, it was later overturned. (July 2006)
Now this an example of twisted logic: they successfully lobbied Legislators --> Veto supposedly upheld? --> But it was overturned. How is this a success? Could someone please explain their logic because my head hurts.

You know, after reading all the things that Romney supposedly did because of MassResistance, I'm surprised that they keep attacking him so much for not being anti-gay. But then again, these were happier times:

Such a handsome couple, it's a shame the marriage didn't work out.

MassResistance "Successes" #15, 16, & 17

They are just so successful it's blinding:

Number 15:

Exposed "Youth Pride" and BAGLY "trans" Prom, and Boston Pride events including children, partly funded with taxpayer money. (2005, 2006)

Once again, what exactly did MassResistance expose? It has never been a secret! There is a Youth Pride parade through the streets of downtown Boston, schools from all over the Commonwealth participate. The BAGLY Prom is held in Boston's City Hall. (My husband and I chaperoned at one of the BAGLY proms. I did hear that there was some crazy woman snapping photos of the teens as they were lining up to get in and even tried to crash the party.

And what's with this "Boston Pride events including children" thing. Yeah...there are LOTS of gay parents and they take their children out to events, like Gay Pride. There has been so many children that the event organizers have a small area for parents and their tykes.

Number 16:

Documented and publicized homosexual radicals' riot outside Focus on the Family's "Love Won Out" conference at Tremont Temple Baptist Church in Boston. (Oct. 2005)

Out of all the news media in Boston: Channel 4, 5, 7 and local cable news, MassResistance just happened to be the ONLY people who thought it was a riot, the police didn't even have second thoughts. (MassResistance also didn't consider it a riot then either, read their take where they call it a "near-riot", I guess that doesn't bring the money in like just plain ole riot) Again, what MassResistance doesn't tell you was that there was a Peace March that same day and some of the people marched outside of the anti-gay conference. They also don't tell you that the MassResistance "reporter" was yelled at by police because she was practically inciting a riot with her photography. I wrote about it here when it happened.

Number 17:

Pressured Macy's Department Store to remove Boston Pride promotion in "transsexual mannequins" window display, through massive grassroots action. This incident made the national and international media -- as far away as Australia and London. (June 2006)

The famous mannequin debacle! This has really got to be the funniest of the intimidation tactics that MassResistance/Article 8 has employed over the past few years. This crazy group was upset because of mannequins, AND they actually went through the store and took photos of "normal" mannequins to prove their point that the mannequins in the window were transgender, believe it or not. Of course, they wouldn't print the apology that Macy's wrote to Boston's gay community when Macy's themselves said they removed the mannequins due to miscommunication and not pressure from any group.

PFLAG 6th Annual Pride and Passion Party

PFLAG is holding the its annual Pride and Passion Party over at the Boston Hyatt Hotel on April 20th at 6:30 PM. All proceeds from this important event will support the Safe Schools and Communities Project:

The event will feature really fine food and drink, live entertainment, a fabulous live and silent auction and an awards ceremony for the winners of the 2008 Elsie Frank Scholarships.

This year's Distinguished Leadership Award will be presented to the Greater Boston Business Council. TV Channel 5 News anchor David Brown will be our Master of Ceremonies. Novelist Robert Parker and his wife Joan, and Chad and Anne Gifford, are serving as Honorary Co-Chairs for the event. We look forward to seeing you.

Fabulous Silent and Live Auctions include an African Safari and a Tuscany Vacation.

Sounds like a blast. You can get more information here. Last year's event was sold out!

Side Note: Do you think the MassResistance's annual banquets they claim to hold has fabulous auction items too? I still question whether such function even exist since they never show any pictures (which is odd for two people who obsess with taking pictures at every gay event). You would also think that their attendees, if they are real, would be proud to be associated with an organization that was named a Hate Group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

MassResistance "Successes" #13 & 14

Oh the things they dwell on:

Forced major advertising company, ClearChannel, to take down homosexual pornographic billboard over major street in Cambridge one day after lots of our activists contacted them. (2005)

I wrote about this earlier too. If I remember correctly, the billboard was coming down in a few days anyway, so once again Article 8 took credit for it's removal. They obsessed over what the two men were doing under the flag. I like to say that they take credit for the sun rising and setting everyday.

Pressured supermarket chain to remove sexually graphic homosexual newspaper from stores, and the newspaper management to remove pornographic personal ads from print edition. (2004)

Note to people in Massachusetts, go to your supermarket and see if you can find BayWindows, yep, it's still there. Funny how they also take credit for "pressuring newspaper management to remove pornographic personal ads from their print edition" since the newspaper was already in the process of doing that before MassResistance's hissy fit. They posted the locations of all the BayWindows newspaper boxes on their blog and blamed it on gay marriages. Ironically, they quote BayWindows extensively in their "Mitt Romney Deception Report", not bad for a "pornographic newspaper".

Oh look, the sun's rising, I'm so glad MassResistance is on the ball!

Open Letter to Wikipedia

Thanks to a reader, I came across the following entry from Brian Camenker to Jacob of Wikipedia:

Joshua,
I don't think you understand what's going on. There are three main issues:
1. The person who keeps changing my page is a homosexual activist who maintains this website: http://asolis.net/2007/11/legalization-of-homosexual-marriage/ This site is extremely hateful; the person is not an unbiased editor.

2. MassResistance has done literally hundreds of things that could be mentioned. We could have a list of things a mile long. We have been praised by lots of well-known people such as Alan Keyes and Michael Reagan, for instance. We've also been called bad things by homosexual activists. To pick a small sample of negative things does everyone a disservice.

3. Southern Poverty Law Center is an extremist group that has named several conservative groups "hate groups". They admitted to us that we have not committed any overtly hateful acts, they just think we're hateful. If you include them here, then we should be able to do the same thing to the left-wing groups -- declare them "hate groups" and then edit their entries Unfortunately, if you're going to allow this to happen to me personally and our group, MassResistance, you will open the door to an enormous amount of edit warring from the thousands of supporters we have. Why not either (1) just remove our entries or (2) allow an entry that just describes the group?

The post you put up for MassResistance is NOT unbiased. It picks out a few negative "facts" among the hundreds of positive things that could be said. Please at least give me some indication that you've read this. This really needs to be resolved before it gets out of control.

Brian Camenker

PS: Let me add something else:

1. There is a sentence in the posting:
MassResistance's website often targets the transgender community and they have been criticized for promoting anti-gay studies that lack scientific merit. This is absurd. Some fringe website makes a statement about us and you insist on including it? Also, if you read their article carefully, it's clear that we're being called "Christian Right". Everything we've promoted DOES have scientific merit.

2. The blob "MassResistanceWatch" is run by two incredibly hateful homosexual activists who have threatened us in the past. At one point, we had to get the Attorney General involved from this activity. DO NOT include them on any serious posting

Is it any surprise that the leader of a Hate Group would either want you to white wash the truth or delete it entirely? Please, please, please peruse their website AND their blog. Read about the phony press releases they've sent out. They even bring up a story about the Attorney General but they don't tell you that the AG's office banned them from contacting their office because they kept pestering (warning, this is a link to another SPLC hate group) the attorneys (including posting their telephones so other could do the same):
Amy continues to live in fear of being terrorized by these sick, depraved animals. And Amy's local Acton, MA police department (978-264-xxxx) and Denise Barton at the Mass. Attorney General's office (617-727-xxxx) continue to avoid this like the plague. In fact, Denise Barton actually told Amy that Amy's now prohibited from phoning her -- only Amy's lawyer (if she has one) is allowed to communicate with Barton's office! Your tax dollars at work.

They've actually tried to erase the above references but I have the original emails and websites. It appears they are doing the same thing to Jacob and Wikipedia. Brian Camenker/MassResistance/Article 8 Alliance/Parents Right Coalition are masters of intimidation.

MassResistance "Successes" # 9 - 12

Feel free to email me with any of your own descriptions of MassResistance's successes which can be found here.

Number 9:

Fought homosexual "marriage" ruling in Legislature: Wrote and filed bills to strengthen marriage definition in Mass. statute, and declare same-sex "marriages" null/void & without statutory basis. (2004-6)

Those bill's they "wrote and filed", yeah, didn't get passed and that ruling in the Legislature, didn't need it since same sex couples have happily been getting married since May 2004. They put marriage in quotes and keep stating that gay couples aren't legally married, but there is no basis for this poor arguments, NO ONE agrees with them.

Number 10:

Wrote, prepared and got conservative legislators to file Bill of Address in Legislature to remove judges who handed down same-sex "marriage" ruling -- the unique Constitutional remedy for judges who abuse their power. (2004-6)

This one is especially hilarious! This was the whole basis for their "Article 8 Alliance", removing the four judges from the Massachusetts SJC. MassNews even got into the act and had planes flying over Massachusetts a la Wicked Witch of the West. I believe there was only one legislator who even signed on to this ridiculous "Bill of Address" (and that guy retired before he got voted out). Even former Governor Mitt "Did you hear the one about Massachusetts" Romney didn't even go for this one.

Number 11:

Successfully pressured Gov. Romney to not issue further Proclamations celebrating "Youth Pride Day" in his 3rd and 4th year in office. (2005, 2006)

Because I'm sure that Mitt's Presidential candidacy had NOTHING at all to do with him not issuing Youth Pride Day proclamations (those were the years he was doing he conservative flip) and it was all because of MassResistance, sure, no problem, nothing to see here, move along.

Number 12:

Exposed horrific hardcore homosexual "Little Black Book" and transgender workshops -- pornographic information given to children at a GLSEN conference held at Brookline High School. Incident continues to get national attention. (2005)

Here's one of the "successes" that they list that is partly true. Fenway Community Health had ten copies of the Little Black Book at their booth by accident, apparently a MassResistance person found the copies and turned it into "hundreds of copies were handed out". They even appologized for the mistake. Yet it took Article 8 over two weeks to alert the media! Why so long? This is what I wrote in 2005:

Article 8 claims to have "exposed" this escapade. Ten books were on a table at the Fenway Community Health Center's table at a school's Gay Day on April 30th.
It took Article 8 over two weeks (they didn't announce it until a press conference on May 17th) to actually mention the book. If they cared so much about the children why didn't they have a press conference on May 1st? Article 8 members supposedly picked up the brochure on the 30th so what took so long?(sounds like the Bush administration's reaction to Hurricane Katrina) Furthermore, the book was modeled after a similar book in Washington State, a place that doesn't have same sex marriage, how can that be? Using Article 8's logic Massachusetts should have come up with it first, what gives?

I'm sure more people have seen this STD prevention manual from Article 8's website than when it was in print. Thanks Brian for doing STD outreach!

MassResistance "Successes" #5 - 8

More pathetic excuses for successes.

Number 5:
Publicized the notorious David Parker incident across the country (Lexington father jailed for demanding his rights to opt his child out of homosexual subject matter in kindergarten); exposed and documented this story in detail. From our efforts, this has gotten extensive national press. (2005-ongoing)

This has been written about extensively. Just a quick correction to MassResistance's false statement about the arrest: David Parker was jailed because he refused to leave an elementary school when the principle and the police told him he would be arrested if he didn't. Coincidentally, MassResistance was right there ready with their cameras to document the event. Oh, and MassResistance also publicized a phony story that David Parker's son was beat up because of his father's views.

Number 6:
Exposed Chief Justice Margaret Marshall's violation of the Code of Judicial Conduct in ruling on same-sex "marriage". (April 2005-on)

Exposed what? Massachusetts Supreme Court Justice Margaret Marshall was never cited for any violations of the judicial code. Don't you think if the Supreme Court Justice of Massachusetts' Supreme Judicial Court violated anything it would be news. Brian's friend, J. Edward Pawlick (MassNews) was obsessed with Margaret Marshall and her husband and wrote about them incessantly, even to the point of pondering what they talked about at breakfast. MassResistance, then called the Article 8 Alliance, even had a man don drag as Margaret Marshall and burn a mock Massachusetts Constitution.

Number 7:

Successfully led fight to stop dangerous bills filed in the Mass. Legislature for: mandatory sexuality and homosexuality education in schools; decriminalization of bestiality and sodomy; and legalization of homosexual "marriage" through statute. Mobilized hundreds to testify, thousands to contact legislators. (2006)

Again, what they don't tell you is that they didn't stop the constitutional convention from voting down the discriminatory marriage amendment which would have banned Equal marriage in Massachusetts or the earlier one that would have banned civil unions too. MassResistance somehow takes credit for every bill that doesn't get passed except when it's their own bill then they somehow, like that old saying, try and make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Number 8:

Successfully helped pro-family state legislators hold seats when opposed in primaries by homosexual activist challengers funded by national GLBT groups. Organized volunteers and phone banking, and did district-wide mailings. (2004)

This was when, 2004! That was the year that same sex couples could start legally getting married in Massachusetts. When other states were amending their constitutions to ban same sex marriages, Massachusetts residents voted in MORE pro-marriage equality legislators than ever before. That's proabably why they mention "primaries" since most of their "pro-family" legislators were voted out. In 2004 they had a HUGE loss when Vinnie Ciampa lost because of a write in canidate. They said then: "Remember, if Vinnie Ciampa loses, we all lose"

Just a quick note to say that you should head over to MassNews which is still up dispite J. Edward Pawlick's passing. You can still the insane rants he wrote about Massachusetts and also read about MassResistance's beginnings when they were the Article 8 Alliance and the Parent's Right Coalition. It's a must read!

Brian Camenker is Trying to Silence the Truth About MassResistance

Brian Camenker is once again trying to silence the facts (with references) about his anti-gay activism and anti-gay group . I blogged last week about how MassResistance & Brian Camenker is trying revise their history on Wikipedia, well, now that some people have amended the entries, Brian is a little upset that people are actually including some of the truth about him and his hate group MassResistance in Wikipedia:

Joshua,
I am the founder and president of MassResistance. I put up a description of our group that states our mission, and some facts about us, that is brief and to the point.

I don't think it's fair that our posting continues to be vandalized by a person hostile to our organization, with very negative and possibly libelous descriptions.

The "hate group" label is particularly unfair. Southern Poverty Law Center is an extremely biased, somewhat fringe group that lists literally hundreds of conservative groups as "hate groups."

Last week I personally spoke to their hate group coordinator about this, and he admitted to me that our "crime" is "demeaning a class of people", in his opinion. That is absurd!

The posting we put up is fair and reasonable, and accurately describes our group. It's unfair to allow it to be constantly vandalized in this way. Maybe it's better to remove the listing entirely.

Brian Camenker Bcamenker
(
talk) 01:04, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Let's give a big AWWW! Brian doesn't like leading a hate group! He wants more positive things said about him and MassResistance. So instead of exposing the truth about MassResistance, Brian would rather have it deleted entirely, isn't that the best way to get rid of the evidence. I'm sure Fred Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church is upset that they're named a hate group too, all they do is "demean a class of people" and hold protests, oh, that's right, that's what MassResistance does too!

And can you believe that he wrote "Southern Poverty Law Center is an extremely biased, somewhat fringe group" If SPLC is a fringe group what does that make MR?

Let's hope that the Wikipedia people who maintain the site, keep both listings for MassResistance and Brian Camenker and keep them fair to all sides, no need to hide the truth.

April's Fools
