Picking and Choosing Which Parts of the Bible to Follow

The anti-gay groups always get their panties in a wad when they're called on the things they say or have stated in the past. Case in point, Porno Pete, of Americans for the Truth about Homosexuality (say that 3 times fast and how did he become such an authority?) is all upset because he and his other anti-gay cohort Brian Camenker held a press conference in Maine that few people attended. It was so sparsely attended that even the groups against marriage equality in Maine didn't attend or want to be linked to these wackos.

Jesse Connelly, the head of the No on 1 campaign was interviewed after the Peter's dismal PR event and stated the following:

“And they [referring to leaders of the pro-traditional-marriage group 'Stand For Marriage'] can’t stand behind Peter LaBarbera, who has attacked Ben & Jerry’s, supported rescinding women’s right to vote and believes we should return to the Old Testament where gay people were stoned…..”

Well, The Peter doesn't want people to think he's for violence, of course not, he is always saying that we are supposed to be following the Bible, however, I guess he's all for picking and choosing which parts of the Bible he wants everyone else to follow.

Now I'm not theologian, but if you're going to quote from the Bible as a reason to deny gay people their civil rights then you can't blame people for assuming that you agree with the other parts of the Bible that YOU don't agree with. It's all or nothing baby.

But now the Peter wants an apology. I think he's just bringing up this petty issue because no one paid attention to their pathetic PR event and he needs to make news somehow. Fundraising is down and when you're competing with Brian Camenker for those dwindling anti-gay dollars it's either this or posting your photo with a failed presidential candidate.

"Take Back America" to the dark ages

The "Take Back America" conference was held this past weekend and MassResistance's own Brian Camenker was one of the leaders of a workshop entitled "How to Counter the Homosexual Extremist Movement" along with Matt Barber. Right Wing Watch has the details:
About 100 activists at the How to Take Back America conference attended the workshop on

“How to Counter the Homosexual Extremist Movement.” Workshop speakers Matt Barber and Brian Camenker urged people to be loud rabble-rousers when opposing the teaching of tolerance or sex ed in public schools. They said not to worry
about being nice or polite or liked, but to push God’s anti-gay agenda forcefully. “Christ wasn’t about being nice,” said Barber. Camenker bragged about having once sent two congregations to scream outside a targeted legislator’s home.

It sounds like the workshop contained all the over the top national anti-gay activists, all 100 of them including Sally Kern. From Right Wing Watch's overview it sounds like a lot of the talk was about how following their Jesus would stop the homosexual mania (over at PHB, there is more discussion of the religous aspects of the workshop), which as Right Wing Watch suggests, probably didn't sit well with Camenker:

Camenker, who heads the anti-gay MASS Resistance, came out as Jewish, which made me wonder what he’d thought about the fire-and-brimstone speech by Rick Scarborough just before his workshop insisting that people turning to Christ was the only thing that would save America.

However, after following MassResistance's antics these past few years, it seems Brian has never met an anti-gay zealot he didn't like or wouldn't quote time and time again. I wonder how many other anti-gay hate groups were respresented at this workshop, Southern Poverty Law Center take note!

MassResistance Makes More Stuff Up

On the MassResistance website they are now proclaiming that Six Flags New England is sponsoring a Gay Day to bail themselves out of debt:

The Six Flags New England amusement park has a new scheme to help bail
themselves out of debt: Have the biggest "Gay Day" ever.

And that's exactly what they're doing. Earlier this year Six Flags of New England filed for bankruptcy protection. Apparently they feel they need to be creative.

Over the last few months Six Flags of New England in Agawam has bought full-page ads in the hard-core homosexual newspaper Bay Windows advertising an "Out in the Park" celebration - a full day of homosexuality in Six Flags.

Brian has a very short memory because it was just a few years ago when Ms. MassResistance ranted about the 9th Annual Gay Day at Six Flags:
Then, on Sunday, Sept. 18 it's the 9th annual "Out in the Park" day at Six Flags New England amusement park. "Be seen, Wear red!" Contact: Six Flags New England, 1305 Memorial Ave., West Springfield, MA 01089; 413-737-2443; corporate HQ: Six Flags America, 301-249-1500.

I guess Brian doesn't even know what's on his own webpages otherwise he would have known that this has gone on for years. The laugh out loud part is at the end:

Why an amusement park?

Think about this: Normally, a group of adults wouldn't be interested in a child's amusement park. Most people might go on a cruise, or to a pro football or baseball game, or to a picnic, hike, sightseeing tour, or museum.

But as we see so much, the homosexual community seems to be obsessed with events connected to children, such as the public schools, parades, "gay youth" events, and children's' sections of libraries. And of course, there's the famous "Gay Days" at Disneyworld. One might speculate on their own delayed development.

Umm...Brian...don't you and your minions show up at public schools, parades, "gay youth" events and libraries with camera in tow to photographic the children? Wasn't it your photographer who was charged with disorderly conduct while taking pictures of middle school children then when caught ran and began stripping off his clothes?

Oh and Brian, that stuff you said about Six Flags hiding the Gay Days on their website...if you click on the events tab at the top of the page, it takes you to a listing of the events at the park and surprise, there it is:
so much for you suggesting that they're hiding it.

I guess Brian has never been to an amusement park where most of the rides are geared to older teens and adults. It figures he's out of touch again.

Summer's Over!

Hi all! No, MassResistance didn't kidnap me and send me to an ex-gay camp.

I haven't posted anything because Brian and Amy have finally become like that fly that gets stuck between the closed window and screen. They fly around a bit then tucker out , crawl around at the bottom of the window sill then get more tuckered out from flying in circles. Frankly, MassResistance is doing my job for me!
Ever since MassResistance was named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center they have gone unnoticed around here. (that's probably why they complain about it so much) Marriage Equality passed in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine and you didn't see hide nor hair of them in any of those states. That's not to say that the other right wings wackos like Porno Pete and the American Family Association's One News Now haven't stopped listening to them, however, New England has. Oh, but their partner in anti-gay hate, Mad Dad David Parker did make the rounds. I caught him giving "testimony" during the huge public hearing on the marriage equality bill in Maine, he was essentially laughed off the podium however (Mainers do not like outsiders interfering with their business). Additionally, Maggie Gallagher, anti-gay marriage professional from NOM was also in the region giving what I guess would be called a pep talk to the people in RI since that is the only New England state that doesn't have marriage equality...yet.

Apparently, the only big news about MassResistance is that Google has a disclaimer on their MassResistance Blog that warns the viewer of objectionable content. Of course, this being MassResistance, Brian Camenker has another conspiracy theory about that too.

All in all it's been a pretty good summer, well, except for the weather but I, unlike Brian Camenker, wouldn't blame marriage equality for that. Anyhow, I hope to continue with the blog because you know MassResistance is itching to make the Southern Poverty Law Center's hate group list for another year, third time's the charm!

Oh, and if anyone of you happen to be attending Out and Equal's Workplace Summit in Orlando this year stop by and say hello.

Marriage Equality in New York & the Catholic Church

I came across this article in the New York Times about marriage equality in the state. It talked about how the anti-gay forces seemed to be far behind the marriage equality allies. However, the part of the article that stuck out the most for me was this:

In New York, the National Organization for Marriage, whose resources have been stretched thin from other campaigns in the Northeast, began making phone calls to recruit supporters only late last week.

The state’s Roman Catholic bishops have been somewhat distracted, too, having focused their lobbying energies this session on defeating a bill that would extend the statute of limitations for victims of sexual abuse to bring civil claims, and have appeared unprepared for the battle over marriage.

“Frankly, the governor caught us all by surprise when he put this bill out there,” said Dennis Poust, communications director for the New York State Catholic Conference, the bishops’ political arm. “We weren’t expecting it.”

How appalling! The Catholic Church, who tries to use the argument about morality for discriminating against GLBT people is focusing their lobbying energies to deny victims of sexual abuse their day in court. The Church is more concerned about it's finances than the well being of people.

MassResistance Once Again Comes Through

Just as I expected, MassResistance sent out a blast email to their supports about the MBTA accident last week. They probably haven't put it up on their website because they know that the only people who go on it are us. (Count the number of quotation marks):

More MA State-Sponsored Stupidity:

State sponsored madness: Subway driver who caused huge crash is "transgender" (1). Was "affirmative action" (2) hire because of transgender is now considered a minority by MBTA!

Last Friday afternoon nearly 50 people were injured and $10 million in damages when a subway train beneath downtown Boston crashed into another train that was stopped. The driver later admitted texting "his"(3) girlfriend at the time of the crash and not paying attention.

Used Mass. DMV to change sex on IDs

Now we know that "he"(4) is a "transgender" (5) female who recently used the Mass. Registry of Motor Vehicles' (RMV) new transgender policy to have her official driver's license changed from female to male. The subway driver, identified as Aiden Carter Quinn, was known as Georgia Anne Quinn until recently.

And ABC News has reported that despite Quinn's bad driving record, including several tickets, she was an affirmative-action hire because of being a transgender! As ABC.com wrote:

Quinn was originally hired as a part-time driver by the MBTA under the name Georgia Anne Quinn. In 2007 he was hired for a full-time position from a lottery of minority candidates. He was granted minority status as a self-described "female-to-male transgender," two sources told ABC News. Quinn lists his sexual orientation as "FTM."

"[Quinn] was initially hired as a minority and used her transgender status,'' an MBTA source said.

There is also speculation (see Howie Carr's article, below) that Quinn's hormone treatments to "become" (6) a man may have had a role in the accident. According to news reports, Quinn has refused to meet with National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigators to discuss any of this. What a surprise!

You can't make this stuff up. This is where our public officials are taking us.

Down the slippery slope

It was MassResistance that broke the story nationwide last January that the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles now allows people to change their sex on official IDs practically at will.

Where did this absurd transgender minority policy in the MBTA come from? As we've reported for years, MBTA General Manager Dan Grabauskas, who is publicly homosexual, has pushed the homosexual and transgender agenda in state government at the various agencies he has run. When he ran the RMV under Gov. Cellucci, he began the transgender policy there that led to the current one.

It started with unusual affirmative action

A person we talked to with long-time connections to the MBTA said that the T has probably the most hard-nosed affirmative action program in the country, with aggressive quotas for "diverse" (7) types of people, rather than simply by race. This policy goes back to the Dukakis administration. "Transgender"(8) appears to be the latest of that type of diversity, under Grabauskas. He added that it's well known that as the MBTA stopped hiring on the basis of skill and merit, the rate of accidents has multiplied many times. It certainly seems that way, from what we've all seen over the last few years.

Interesting news reports

(It's bizarre that all of the news articles we've seen on this refer to Quinn as "he"(9) even though she is biologically, and DNA-wise, completely a female!)

On Tuesday the Herald picked up on how easy (and weird) it now is to change your sex on official IDs at the RMV:

Sex change a simple switch at RMV
By Dave Wedge, Boston Herald
Wednesday, May 13, 2009

The alleged text-messaging trolley driver who recently switched his gender from female to male on his driver's license is just one of many motorists who fill out a simple form to make the change official in the eyes of the government.

Registry of Motor Vehicles rules allow motorists to change their gender based only on sworn statements from the license holder and their physician.

"There are forms, an affidavit, that you have to have your medical provider fill out," RMV spokeswoman Anne Dufresne said.

RMV regulations, though, specifically state: "You do not need to provide proof of sex reassignment surgery, an amended birth certificate or proof of a court-approved name change."

Dufresne said rules have been in place for about 10 years allowing "gender designation changes" on Massachusetts driver's licenses, which occur at a rate of one application a month. The rules were updated earlier this year to require a sworn affidavit from a doctor.
[MassResistance note: This is misleading. Actually it was made much easier, not harder. For example, a doctor is NOT required to be involved, just an undefined "medical provider."(10)]

T driver Aiden Quinn, who was allegedly text-messaging when he crashed a Green Line trolley during rush hour Friday, was formerly known as Georgia Quinn but changed his gender designation April 21, Dufresne said.

The change allowed the RMV to merge the driving records of Georgia and Aiden Quinn, to accurately reflect his complete history.

Aiden Carter Quinn. Does this look like a man to you . . . or a woman with short hair?

One Herald reader posted the comment: "MBTA = Massachusetts Bay Transgender Authority. Who knew?"

Other pertinent articles:

Herald columnist Howie Carr: "He or she, T driver is a dolt."
You can't miss this one. Howie doesn't pull any punches here.

Boston Globe, "T crash puts spotlight on hiring criteria"
The politically correct version of the news. The Globe nearly buries the transgender issue by casually mentioning it at the end. And all the readers' comments have mysteriously disappeared!

So it didn't take long at all for them to "connect the dots" as Brian Camenker has said for MassResistance to link the crash to transgender hormone treats. Maybe the State could save some money by hiring MassResistance to use his power of perception to judge every case in court and under investigation since Brian can "just look at a photo of someone" and tell if they're a man or a woman, DNA wise that is. Oh, apparently they can also tell if they are on hormone therapy too. There's no proof that the T driver was hired under an affirmation action policy but having no proof has never stopped MassResistance from slinging accusations.

How Long Till MassResistance Blames It on the Transgender Community?

My husband just mentioned to me that he had heard on the radio that the T-driver in last week's Green Line accident is transgender. Why that is even an issue or has anything to do with the accident is beyond me.

Aiden Quinn should be fired from the MBTA if it is determined that he was using his phone to send text messages while driving, end of story.

However, we figured we'd start a countdown to see how long it would take MassResistance to blame the accident on the transgendered community... gays, lesbians, the Acton police, Governor Deval Patrick, President Barak Obama and MSNBC.

Soft Porn Model is now Spokesperson for NOM

It's the gift that keeps on giving. Last week at a press conference for the Nation for Marriage's latest ad, Carrie Prejean, Miss California said this about marriage equality:

It’s not about being politically correct; it’s about being biblically correct, that how I was raised as a little girl, it’s say it in the Bible, that’s what I believe.
Then we found out that the Miss California USA Pageant paid for her to have breast implants. Maggie Gallagher went on Larry King Live on Friday and scolded the President of the Miss California USA Pageant for releasing "personal medical details" about Miss California. Then today we find out that Carrie Prejean posed for some very racy pictures, so racy that NBC couldn't even show them on the TV.

NOM's spokesperson Maggie Gallagher also defended her after the first press conference but stated oddly, that Miss California was not a spokesperson for NOM. Now Ms. Gallagher felt the need to defend her again when the soft porn pictures of Miss California appeared:

(Princeton, NJ) - Today, Maggie Gallagher, President of the National Organization for Marriage, released the following statement regarding Carrie Prejean: “Because Carrie honestly said what she believed in answer to a question--marriage is the union of a man and a woman-- she is now the subject of ongoing character assassination. The level of hatred directed at her is astonishing. Even more astonishing is her personal courage and strength of character in the midst of these attacks. Of course Carrie is not perfect. On a personal note, as a former unwed mother, I want to say to Americans: you don’t have to be a perfect person to have the right to stand up for marriage. Nothing gay marriage advocates can do can change the fact—we all saw it on national TV—that Carrie is a young woman who surrendered all the glitter Hollywood has to offer, because she would not become the kind of person afraid to say the truth.

"Through Carrie, we are also learning, the lengths some people will go to hurt and harass those who speak up for marriage.”
So I guess the victim here is Carrie Prejean because the homosexual marriage activists must have gone back in a time machine and forced her to take the racy pictures in just panties then hopped back into that time machine, signed the Miss California USA Pageant entry form vowing not to have done any nudity or partial nudity THEN fast forwarded again to today (or last night) and leaked the totally fabricated soft porn pictures to the press. McFly!

I hope NOM is getting donations because Carrie Prejean should sue them for exploiting her. We know she probably won't work because who is going to hire her, especially after she's fired from the Miss California USA Pageant for lying on her application. (I guess the homosexual activists will get blamed for her lying on the application too). If she does go to Fox News, who will do her hair and makeup since no self respecting gay person is going to touch that?

And Miss Anti-Gay Bigot is...

I'm sure you've read about it by now, but Miss California, who was supposed to be working on behalf of Special Olympics has devoted her time and tiara to NOM. She even presided over a press conference today, take a gander:

Words escape me after watching that! Who knew that fake boobs were OK in the Miss USA pageant? And it appears that the Miss California pageant paid for those breast implants. Hmm...I'm thinking the NOM people vetted their newest spokesperson about as well as John McCain vetted his running mate.

PFLAG's Annual Party!

Next week, Saturday, May 2nd is Greater Boston PFLAG's annual Pride and Passion party:

The guest list includes Congressman Barney Frank, Channel 5 news anchor David Brown and Honorary co-chairs Robert and Joan Parker.

As usual they have some incredible auction items including an African Safari and a chance to tour the "Dancing with the Stars" set and attend a live taping!

Brian Camenker/MassResistance hates this group for its "Safe Schools" program that engages with schools to change attitudes and end bullying. The need for this program is more apparent than ever with the recent suicide in Springfield of an 11-year old due to bullying.

So much more could be done to prevent future tragedies. GB-PFLAG receives absolutely no funding from the national PFLAG organization. Basically all of its funding comes from individual and corporate donations, and this annual fundraiser. GB-PFLAG has had dramatic success in getting straight students to reject gay-insensitive behavior. The best thing about attending this annual parties is the chance to hear from straight students whose schools had a GB-PFLAG engagement.

For more information check out GB-PFLAG's website.

Marriage Equality Hearing in Maine

Today was the marriage equality hearing in Maine for the LD1118 and LD 1020 and guess who was there....

If you guessed Mad Dad David Parker, you were right. He talked about his failed lawsuits and wasn't exactly telling the whole truth. It took another citizen from Maine, who runs a protection from violence program in Portland, to set the record straight (so to speak). He stated how David Parker got arrested because he told the police that he was not leaving the elementary school until they arrested him. He also read from the book which David Parker is against "Who's in a Family":
"Laura and Kyle live with their two moms, Joyce and Emily, and a poodle named Daisy. It takes all four of them to give Daisy a bath"

Wow, that's SO controversial!

You might still be able to catch the hearing because there are lots of people present.

MassResistance's Legislative Delusions Continue

MassResistance has been posting some real oddball stuff lately but this takes the cake. They've always been a far off fringe group however only now are just beginning to realize it:
We believe that this is the year that the outrage of parents and citizens will finally boil over. Maybe it's the David Parker case, (which has lost on every level it's been appealed to even the Supreme Court who refused to hear it) maybe it's the economy (yeah, you're losing your retirement, but dammit, those gay shouldn't be getting married), maybe it's the enormous public money given to homosexual activists and other special interests in the schools and everywhere else (yeah, the homosexuals are rolling around naked in all that dough, we're all over Wall Street you know and I'm sure Scott Lively will be writing a new book on how the homosexuals are responsible for the Bush Depression). The Legislature is finally going to feel the wrath of our side. (This is great, I can't wait to see this happen, Hey Brian, still gathering those signatures to repeal State laws?) We've made sure that there are some good bills to clean things up. (OK, how many State Legislators are going to sign onto a bill by a nationally recognized hate group,...anyone...?)

Their whole list of "good bills" reads like a Dick and Jane novel: This bill good, their bill bad and they are still beating that Mad Dad Parker issue to death. Nobody cares. I'd recommend Mad Dad Parker spent less time in State court and more time on a basketball or squash court.

MassResistance also is touting that they are one of 22 "pro-family" groups confronting the Day of Silence. Who are these other "pro-family" groups (lucky for them they can't be put in jail for misrepresentation) Take a gander:
Abiding Truth Ministries
American Family Association
AFA Michigan
AFA Pennsylvania
Americans for Truth
Association of Maryland Families
Campaign for Children and Families
Citizens for Community Values
Coalition of Conscience
Community Issues Council
Concerned Women for America
CWA of Washington
Culture Campaign
Faith2ActionFaith, Family & Freedom Alliance
Illinois Family Institute
Indiana Voice
Liberty Alliance Action
Liberty Counsel
Maine Family Policy Council
MassResistance
Mission: America
PFOX

Just the same list of losers sucking on the anti-gay teat. Most of these organizations are just like MassResistance too, one person operations with a big names to give the appearance that they're legit.

I still trying to figure out why Brian updated his website today and still hasn't addressed the unanimous decision by the Iowa Supreme Court. Even Thhttp://americansfortruth.com/news/iowa-same-sex-%e2%80%98marriage%e2%80%99-ruling-an-assault-on-midwestern-values-says-aftah%e2%80%99s-labarbera.htmle Peter got something up on Friday.

Marriage Equality Comes to Iowa!

Breaking news:

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Supreme Court issued a unanimous ruling Friday finding that the state's same-sex marriage ban violates the constitutional rights of gay and lesbian couples, making Iowa the third state where marriage will be legal.

Of course, this would be the 4th state however, California is still up in the air. This is also big news because this is the Midwest. Congratulations Iowa!

Oh, and it was UNANIMOUS!

Brian Begs for More Money

I read with interest MassResistance's latest posting where they appear to be thrilled that they think they're stopping civil unions in Hawaii, however, it wasn't until I read their March 11th email that I was ROTFLMAO:

In case you can't read it:

Will you do one (or both) of the following:

1. Will you give a donation of any size right now? (large font)

2. Will you become a monthly donor, via credit/debit card?

Now how many people in their right minds would trust Brian with their debit card information? Then again, the people that do contribute to him are NOT in their right minds not if they know that most of the money given to MassResistance goes directly to Brian. He's even trying to get people to volunteer their time to do fundraising for him too!

Throughout the rest of the email all Brian does is beg for more money. If you've forgotten, they held a fundraising banquet earlier this year, yeah, I guess they didn't raise too much money if he's begging for more. Add to that Porno Pete from Americans for Truth is constantly asking for money as well as FRC and AFA and you get a lot people wanting money from a diminishing universe.

Wouldn't you think that having MassResistance named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center would increase their donations? Guess not. Oh, and they recommend people go to the MassResistance blog, which hasn't been updated since Dec. for more "in depth" information.

Sit back, get some popcorn and watch the fireworks, the finale is starting.

The Road Hately Traveled

Just a few reasons why the anti-gay MassResistance is a Hate Group:

  • Transgender janitor in Mass. elementary school! They post the telephone number for the school so readers of their hate can harass the school administrators.
  • They continuously put the term marriage in quotes "marriage" because they chose to believe that all marriages in Massachusetts are not legal. So maybe stealing is not really "stealing" and just borrowing or recording underage students without their knowledge is not "wiretapping" but listening.
  • Praise the Catholic Pope when they believe he's saying gay people are bad but are curiously silent when the same Pope raises up a Holocaust denier (hmm...was he friends with Scott Lively?)
  • Call gay people fascists when they stick up for their rights but call themselves "pro-family" when they intimidate, harass and petition legislators and the public to take away or deny rights to GLBT Americans.
  • Show up at Gay Pride Parades and photograph and videotape young children against their will and post it on the web mocking them and their parents.
  • Violate the privacy of a young woman by photographing pictures on the wall of her bedroom and posting for all the world to see that she is a special needs student.
  • Lie about their organization's name so they can book at room at hotel to hold a fundraiser (that only benefits the man's who started and runs the organization under the guise of "protecting families")
  • Brag that they have thousands, maybe millions of supporters and will turn back the laws that the Mass Legislature passes to protect GLBT people

OK, so the last bullet doesn't make them hate group, just a bunch of lying pathetic losers who will say and do anything to get any publicity possible.

Anti-Gay MassResistance is Proud to be a Hate Group

The calendar challenged MassResistance finally updated their website after almost a month of inactivity and what do they post? A very long diatribe about how they're NOT a hate group and how the Southern Poverty Law Center, is really a far left pro-homosexual organization, who knew?

It's a common theme of the left, going back to the Saul Alinsky tactics in the 1930s, to demonize your enemies if they become effective. This was adopted by the homosexual movement. In their classic manifesto After the Ball, Marshall Kirk & Hunter Masden advised activists to compare people with traditional values to the Ku Klux Klan (which lynched blacks).

For the second year in a row, the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has declared MassResistance, along with other pro-family / Christian / traditional values groups around the country, as "hate groups". In most cases, the "crime" is publicly disagreeing with the homosexual agenda. There are no specific reasons given, besides a general label.

I wondered how many times the anti-gay MassResistance has to reiterate that they're "pro-family" because no one is buying it. It's also interesting that the anti-gay group cherry picks the groups that they say SPLC names as hate groups. For some reason they fail to mention that Fred Phelp's Westboro Baptist Church, the Watchmen on the Walls (another Scott Lively group) and the Heterosexuals Organized for a Moral Environment aren't anti-gay hate groups either.

The anti-gay MassResistance certainly has a lot to say about a group they claim is an angry, arrogant, far left radicals, un-American. pro-homosexual who just tries to intimidate and silence their opposition. (I guess Brian thinks he has the monopoly on press releases too) Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.

This "hate group" stunt is simply meant intimidate and silence their opposition. And there's something un-American about that kind of tactic. Clearly, groups like SPLC consider the truth to be their biggest enemy. But it won't work with us.
That's partially right, the truth has never worked for MassResistance.

The Truth is Out Here

It seems the Religious Right has been quoting the anti-gay MassResistance at various public hearings so I put together a few bullet points about MassResistance that may prove useful about what or who MassResistance/Brian Camenker really are:
  • The anti-gay MassResistance has been named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center for two years in a row. The SPLC has stated that the groups on their list are: "Anti-gay groups are organizations that go beyond mere disagreement with homosexuality by subjecting gays and lesbians to campaigns of personal vilification."
  • At a recent MassResistance Banquet, the guest speaker was Scott Lively, the author of the book The Pink Swastika which alleges that gay men were not particularly persecuted under the German Nazi regime, and that homosexual men were especially prevalent in the ranks of German Nazism, and were in large part, the motivators of the Jewish Holocaust.
  • In an interview with the Daily Show, Camenker said that if he was given enough time he could "connect the dots" to same sex marriage in Massachusetts for the rise in homelessness and crime rates and the poor air quality.
  • MassResistance protested a Macys store in Boston because they believed Macys was dressing transgendered mannequins in their windows. MassResistance went so far as to roam the Macys and photograph what they considered "normal" mannequins and then compared the photos on their website.
  • On the MassResistance blog, the group stated that children learn about sex from hearing noises outside of their parents locked door: "And sometimes the bedroom door is locked and he hears noises. This is a child's normal introduction to sex. It is simply put before him in the context of normal, healthy family activities."
  • Even former Governor Romney, who is not an ally of the Marriage Equality movement issued a press release exposing Brian Camenker and this group MassResistance.

This website was created to expose the truth about MassResistance so please feel free to use any of the infomation on here.

MassResistance Wins Again!

For the second year in a row, anti-gay MassResistance was named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). The SPLC states that hate groups in the country increased by 4% in 2008 from 2007. They are listed with 12 other active anti-gay groups in the country. The SPLC states that:

Anti-gay groups are organizations that go beyond mere disagreement with homosexuality by subjecting gays and lesbians to campaigns of personal vilification.

Wow Brian, congrats! Now you have another success story to put on your list and for 2 years in a row! Way to go!

A bit more disturbing is the addition of another anti-gay hate group in Massachusetts, the "The School of Christian Activism" in Springfield, Mass. What isn't surprising is that none other than anti-gay and Nazi revisionist Scott Lively, friend of anti-gay MassResistance's Brian Camenker (and one of the GREAT speakers at Brian's Annual Benefit) is associated with this "church".

Both of their Wikipedia entries for Lively and Camenker list them as being "conservative" when in fact they're anti-gay activists. Their histories have shown that these two men are obsessed with gay people and make their living off the hatred of gays and lesbians.

Psst...Did You Go To The Annual Brian Camenker Benefit?

It's been almost a month since the anti-gay MassResistance Annual fundraising Banquet or the Brian Camenker benefit (depending on how you look at it). You remember, the one that was supposed to "unveil our plans for winning the culture war in the Massachusetts State House". They were supposed to have 3 GREAT Speakers too! A washed up one term Republican Rep. from Texas, the Nazi revisionist Scott Lively and the ever present always in the court room Mad Dad David Parker. Gosh, I would have been sitting on the edge of my seat after listening to them! The banquet was such a big hit that everyone is talking and writing about it...except they're not.

In fact, even the anti-gay MassResistance website doesn't have anything about it however they did post an update on Feb. 13th. It stated that the anti-gay MassResistance, AKA Brian Camenker, searched high and low to find sponsors for his anti-gay bills in the Mass State House (hey Brian, how's that winning the culture war working out for ya in the Mass State House?). This past week BayWindows reported:

According to a post on MassResistance’s website the group "spent days in the State House, going door to door trying to get sponsors for these bills and talking to as many people as we could. We finally got what we needed, but it wasn’t easy."

And how does the future look for these anti-gay bills, BayWindows reports:

None of the group’s past anti-gay bills have gained traction in recent sessions, and with the appointment of two LGBT rights supporters, state Rep. Marty Walz (D-Boston) and state Sen. Robert O’Leary (D-Barnstable), as co-chairs of the Joint Committee on Education, there is little indication they will meet with greater success this year.

Well, there never is any information on the Camenker anti-gay benefits, whether this is because no one shows up or the people that do go are too embarrassed to publicly support the anti-gay MassResisance I'm not sure (even the hotel said they weren't holding a room for MassResistance so apparently Brian Camenker can't even reserve a room in the organization's name!)

However, I do think it's important that the sponsors of the bills that the anti-gay MassResistance is putting forward are aware of their status as a hate group. Here are the sponsors of the anti-gay MassResistance bills:

Start Your Engines!

If you're a fan of Project Runway you're sure to love "RuPaul's Drag Race":

9 contestants are vying for the title of America's Drag Queen Superstar. In the first episode these nine contestants must re-invent their glam drag looks using thrift store clothing and tschotchkes from the 99-cent store. Guest judge Bob Mackie stops by to help RuPaul weed out the drag queen with the least style.
Each cast member must embody the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent that made RuPaul an international drag superstar. The judges will determine the bottom two contestants of the week. Those contestants then compete in a show-stopping battle-royal "lip-synch for your life" performance that will determine if they will "shante" and stay and who will "sashay" away.
The show is a lot of fun. I first saw it while I was on the treadmill at the gym and almost fell off. New episodes air on Logo on Monday nights at 10:00PM but plays throughout the week. It also airs on VH1 at different times. Check your TV guide for more information.

Did Ya Hear about the $5.00 Cheaper Meal?

OK, it's been a week and a day since the most powerful MassResistance Fundraising Banquet ever with the $5.00 cheaper MEAL and MassResistance, aka, Brian Camenker, still hasn't posted anything about it! He, I mean they, were supposed to unveil the plans for winning the culture war in Massachusetts State House (Brian did ya get the memo that the new Speaker of the House is FOR Marriage Equality?)

Nevertheless, they did find time to post these jewels:

First, ensuring themselves another spot on the Southern Poverty Law Center's Hate Group list, MassResistance goes after a transgendered janitor who works in a school AT NIGHT! MassResistance is supposedly concerned about the children but instead they are going after a hard working person who is just trying to earn a living and pay their bills, unlike Brian Camenker who sends out emails asking people to donate and fund HIS lifestyle of hate.

MassResistance also provided the telephone numbers and email addresses of the school administrators so their lemmings can verbally and electronically harass them.

In the second bullet they once again claim success for "killing" bills by the homosexual lobby. Yeah Brian, add it to your other "successes", you know, the ones you had nothing to do with but claim victory for anyway. Oh, and if by "killing" you mean sent to a study, yeah, you killed it and when the Legislature passes them in this session how will you spin those? Like you did when you claimed you stopped money from funding the gay and lesbians programs in the state:

Successfully lobbied Legislators to sustain Gov. Romney's veto of the dangerous new independent "Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth" (one of only a few of his vetoes to be upheld in the Legislature), through grassroots action. Unfortunately, through subsequent arm-twisting tactics by the Speaker, it was later overturned. (July 2006)

or when you successfully got enough signatures to overturn the repeal of the anti-gay racist 1913 law:

What this Referendum means
This is a big deal. Besides eventually stopping a horrible social experiment from being forced across the country, this sends some very strong messages...
And as we said, the rest of the Boston media isn't far behind. They really don't get it. They're going to be very disappointed when we get done . . .

Keep up the good work Brian, the economy's bad, we need a good joke to laughter at.

MassResistance is Running Scared!

How else can you explain why they have a webpage outlining their banquet this Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 6:30 PM, yet there is no link or advertising on their official website's front page or the blog (which hasn't been updated since Dec.)

Additionally, they posted at the top of their site last year that they would be posting their weekly email updates on their webpage. If you happen to look now it's still listed as December 28 yet we know that they have sent out at least 2 other updates since then. I won't even get into their "We update our webpage every day" promise.

What's going on? If this is supposed to be their chance to "fight back" and their "unveiling of their plans for winning the culture war in the Massachusetts State House" wouldn't you expect a front page headline on their website? (Brian, how'd that citizen's petition work out for ya?)

They ARE a fringe group, my husband reminds me, but still, I wonder who would even attend this loony banquet? I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Mark Your Calendars: MassResistance Banquet This Saturday

MassResistance is having their banquet this Saturday night, January 31, 2009 in Boxborough Massachusetts (gee they haven't posted anything on their website for the public to know about it, why do you think that is?):

2. MassResistance banquet set for January 31. An outstanding evening you won't want to miss! Start 2009 by fighting back!.

On Saturday evening, January 31, 2009, MassResistance is having one of its most powerful banquets ever. We will have (a) three incredible speakers, (b) a great dinner, and (c) we'll unveil our plans for winning the culture war in the Massachusetts State House. Given the critical times we're in right now, you definitely won't want to miss this. Our speakers are:

1. FEATURED SPEAKER: Former Congressman Steve Stockman (R-Texas).

Cong. Stockman was a conservative leader in the legendary "revolutionary freshman class" of the 104th Congress that forced unprecedented reform in the US House of Representatives. (See bio below.) Cong. Stockman will speak on "Why MassResistance is the model for the future of the conservative movement." He believes so strongly in what we're doing that he is waiving his speaking fee to come and address our banquet.

Also:2. Dr. Scott Lively, author of The Pink Swastika, 7 Steps to Recruit-Proof Your Child, The Poisoned Stream, and other books. (He gave an incredible speech at our last banquet.) He will discuss a very timely topic, "Unmasking Gay-Speak".

3. David Parker, a hero around the country for his courageous (and costly) battle for parents' rights against the homosexual tsunami in the schools. David's topic is directly from his heart: "The fight will continue."

MassResistance Banquet - Don't miss it!

DATE: Saturday evening, January 31, 2009

TIME: 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

PLACE: Holiday Inn, Boxborough

$35.00 per person (Same GREAT meal for $5 less than last year!)$350 for a table of 10

There are so many wrong things going on here.

First off, who ever heard of 1 term Representative Steve Stockman from Texas? Here's a sentance that stood on on Wikipedia:

In June 1996, Stockman and his campaign alleged that Houston Press reporter Tim Fleck trespassed in Stockman's campaign headquarters, which was also his home, and terrorized his wife. Fleck countered with a lawsuit alleging libel and slander. Both the charges and lawsuit were later dropped.

Wow, you can't make this stuff up! This sounded eerily familiar! Oh wait, but there's more, he also sponsored a bill in the House to eliminate background checks, waiting periods, and registration requirements for firearms. Way to go Brian, you've got a winner there!

I've also written about professional gay hater Scott Lively before, the Southern Poverty Law Center detailed about the anti-gay violence going on in Latvia because of his book the Pink Swastika (which I believe has been panned by any credible researcher). And finally we have perennial lawsuit loser Mad Dad Parker, the goto guy for MassResistance who says he isn't involved with MassResistance. As you recall, Parker tried to sue the Lexington school system with a meritless claim but consistently lost every appeal all the way to the Supreme Court.

I think it's really important for the owners and staff at the Holiday Inn in Boxborough to hear from you all. I wonder how Holiday Inn would feel if they knew they were about to host a hate group in their facilities. I'm just asking.

The White House Web Page

Yes people! The White House has updated it's Civil Rights Web pages:

Support for the LGBT Community
"While we have come a long way since the Stonewall riots in 1969, we still have a lot of work to do. Too often, the issue of LGBT rights is exploited by those seeking to divide us. But at its core, this issue is about who we are as Americans. It's about whether this nation is going to live up to its founding promise of equality by treating all its citizens with dignity and respect."
-- Barack Obama, June 1, 2007
The site then goes on to list many of the issues the Administration will deal with:
  • Expand Hate Crimes Statutes

  • Fight Workplace Discrimination

  • Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights for LGBT Couples

  • Oppose a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

  • Repeal Don't Ask-Don't Tell

  • Expand Adoption Rights

  • Promote AIDS Prevention

  • Empower Women to Prevent HIV/AIDS:

And to think that it's only the first full day of this Administration!

MassResistance Perverts History Again

I can't believe it. MassResistance, a recognized hate group, is quoting Martin Luther King Jr. and relaying it to their "struggle":

In our current struggles how many times have you been told that we need to be "reasonable" or "polite" and not offend people? Or that you are being an "extremist" because you confront people (and public officials) with the truth? That you need to go through "proper channels" and not be disagreeable? Or that your church has decided it's best to avoid difficult social issues? Sadly, this isn't new.

To have MassResistance quoting Martin Luther King Jr. is very offensive. Then I thought about MLK's dream. While his quest to wipe out injustice isn't even remotely similar to this hate group's activities, Dr. King would have hoped that by them quoting him, some of his insight into the world of injustice and quest for freedom might somehow trickle into MassResistance's follower's thoughts and deeds.

Dr. King would have never advocated publishing lies on the internet about people or harassing public or private individuals by publishing their home telephone numbers. MassResistance neglects to mention that Bayard Rustin, one of Dr. King's closest advisers and one of the men who organized the 1963 March on Washington was GAY and Dr. King was proud to have him at his side.

Coretta Scott King continued Dr. King's advocacy of non-violent protest and speaking out on injustice everywhere:
I still hear people say that I should not be talking about the rights of lesbian and gay people. ... But I hasten to remind them that Martin Luther King Jr. said, 'Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.' I appeal to everyone who believes in Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream, to make room at the table of brotherhood and sisterhood for lesbian and gay people."

Anyone can quote Dr. King but that doesn't change the meaning of his words.

Equal Means Equal

We watched the State of the State address tonight by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. All I can say is WOW! What a leader.

Oh, and he ended the speech with a little something like:

"Together we can" like "yes we can" is an assertion of character... and the same character that leads us to affirm, whether gay or straight, that in Massachusetts equal means equal."

I love this state!

No More Cola or Chicken Soup EVER!

Yes folks, AFA is at it again. This time they are boycotting Pepsi and Campbell Soup:

Despite the fact that 30 states have passed constitutional amendments defining marriage as being between a man and a woman, Pepsi continues to support the efforts by same-sex groups pushing for homosexual marriage. AFA wrote Pepsi on
October 14 and again on October 29 asking the company to remain neutral in the culture war.

Pepsi didn't care enough to respond to the AFA letters. Pepsi's lack of response indicates the company plans to continue support for the homosexual agenda.Take Action!•
E-mail Chairman Indra K. Nooyi. Tell her that you expect Pepsi to stop supporting the gay agenda.• After sending your e-mail, please call Pepsi (914-253-2000) (800-960-3602) and ask the company to remain neutral in the culture war.•

Forward this e-mail to your friends and family so they will know about Pepsi's support of the gay agenda.

Pepsi's products include Pepsi soft drinks, Frito-Lay chips (800-352-4477), Quaker Oats (800-367-6287), Tropicana (800-237-7799) and Gatorade (800-367-6287).

Yeah AFA, how'd that Disney, Ford and McDonald's work out for ya? Now it's on to Campbell soup and Pepsi. And don't you love how they talk about the "culture war", so "Christian" and yet all they can talk about is wars. I guess their lemmings will have to pull themselves from "The Jerry Springer" show for a minute to call Pepsi and Campbell Soup and tell them how terrible it is that they are advertising in the gay media, Oh horrors!

It's a New Year and MassResistance is still Looking for Money for Brian

Happy New Year everyone. Yes, it's been awhile since I've posted anything. I guess I haven't posted for two reasons: 1) I've been enjoying the holidays, traveling and staying in touch with various people who I just don't get enough time to see and 2) MassResistance has had nothing new to say except send us more money which means Brian Camenker wants more dough for his pockets.

Let's face it, MassResistance is done. Massachusetts has a profamily Governor and legislature and it a little more than a week the United States will have a pro-family President, that's right, a President that really is pro-family because he values ALL families. It's an exciting time to be living through.

Meanwhile, MassResistance is still asking for money to pay Brian's bills, so is the Peter and every other anti-gay organization in the U.S. The economy is in the pits because of the soon to be ex-"pro family" President. Do you think the anti-gay hate groups have figured out yet that because of the bad economy and lack of money people wouldn't be contributing to them or care about their missions?

I'm still keeping watch and documenting the Massachusetts hate group's actions but fortunately there's really nothing to blog on. The Mass legislature won't vote on any of their insane actions and the people of the Commonwealth are sick of their bigotry. January 20th can't come soon enough.

"..all men are created equal..."

Satan Phelps is Coming to Town

It seems that David Parker supporter Fred Phelps of the infamous Westboro Baptist Church is coming to town...again. From Take Mass Action:
Fred Phelps' clan is coming to Boston! The "God Hates Fags" Westboro Baptist Church is coming to picket the Laramie Project at the Boston Center for the Arts. Fred Phelps and his group travel all across the United States spreading their message of hate. When the group comes to Boston, however, they will be helping to drive equality across America.

This hate group, like MassResistance, constantly publish press releases about their antics. However, they have been known to say they are going to be elsewhere and never show up. Communities tend to band together when this extreme group comes around. I think the last time they showed up was to support David Parker.

Anyhow, this time Driving for Equality is planning something. Head over to Chris's website to get more information.

The Absolutely True Adventures of Evil Tina

Hi Folks. I started a new cartoon which you can see below. Look for updates on Evil Tina's adventures at eviltina.net. If you see Evil Tina and her dog "AMANN" drop me an email so I can keep Evil Tina up to date.

More Evidence for the Southern Poverty Law Center

Take notice Southern Poverty Law Center, MassResistance is continuing it's vilification of GLBT people. (MassResistance was named a hate group by the SPLC in March of 2008 for their activities in 2007 and didn't like it at all.) In two of its latest posts they have gone after the co-founder of KnowThyNeighbor and a transgender individual simply because one is gay and the other is transgender.

In the rant against Tom Lang, co-founder of KnowThyNeighbor, they don't think it's fair that two men can own a beautiful home. According to their logic, just because someone has money they aren't allowed to participate in the democratic process:
The palace has been a base for harassing opponents of "homosexual marriage". One of its owners, Tom Lang, is the infamous cyber-bully behind the "KnowThyNeighbor" web site, which published the names of anyone who signed the pro-marriage referendum petition in Massachusetts a few years back.

Uh, Ms. MassResistance, the law allows anyone to see who signs public petitions. You would think that a person who signs a petition to take away someone's civil rights would be proud of their activism. I mean look at all those people you got to sign the repeal of the 1913 law. Oh, wait a minute, you didn't get enough signatures from the thousands of people who supposedly support you. Nice job!

MassResistance even has the nerve to post a section of the Massachusetts law about intimidation of constitutional rights when all they ever do is try and intimidate people in the Commonwealth about marriage and education. This post clearly exposes the jealousy they have over Lange and his husband's home.

In their second post they go after Lorelei Erisis, someone who was protesting the recent anti-gay Prop 8 in California and they specifically go after her because she is transgender:
Remember that President-elect Obama has promised equal rights for the whole GLBT community -- "T" meaning transgenders or transsexuals. ("Gender identity" is the code language used for trannies.) Clearly, there is no bottom to this pit of confusion, sadness, and perversion into which these people have fallen. Yet our leftist political leaders will encourage even more troubled people to fall in.
That's right haters, equal means equal whether you are Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgender. Maybe you should crawl back under that rock for the next eight years. Your divisional politics of "Us against Them" is not going to work in United States of America anymore. The people have spoken.

Engage With Grace

People need to talk with loved ones about their future care. You have a great opportunity tomorrow when you gather with friends and family to talk about those concerns that you may never have discussed before. When my Mom was in the hospital after a major stroke, luckily, we knew how she wanted to be cared for but many families are not so lucky and sometimes the hospitals overrule them. Please take a look at the message below:
We make choices throughout our lives - where we want to live, what types of activities will fill our days, with whom we spend our time. These choices are often a balance between our desires and our means, but at the end of the day, they are decisions made with intent. But when it comes to how we want to be treated at the end our lives, often we don't express our intent or tell our loved ones about it.

This has real consequences. 73% of Americans would prefer to die at home, but up to 50% die in hospital. More than 80% of Californians say their loved ones "know exactly" or have a "good idea" of what their wishes would be if they were in a persistent coma, but only 50% say they've talked to them about their preferences. But our end of life experiences are about a lot more than statistics. They're about all of us.

So the first thing we need to do is start talking. Engage With Grace: The One Slide Project was designed with one simple goal: to help get the conversation about end of life experience started. The idea is simple: Create a tool to help get people talking. One Slide, with just five questions on it. Five questions designed to help get us talking with each other, with our loved ones, about our preferences.

And we're asking people to share this One Slide - wherever and whenever they can.at a presentation, at dinner, at their book club. Just One Slide, just five questions. Lets start a global discussion that, until now, most of us haven't had.

Here is what we are asking you: Download The One Slide and share it at any opportunity - with colleagues, family, friends. Think of the slide as currency and donate just two minutes whenever you can. Commit to being able to answer these five questions about end of life experience for yourself, and for your loved ones. Then commit to helping others do the same. Get this conversation started.

Let's start a viral movement driven by the change we as individuals can effect...and the incredibly positive impact we could have collectively. Help ensure that all of us - and the people we care for - can end our lives in the same purposeful way we live them. Just One Slide, just one goal. Think of the enormous difference we can make together.

Sucking on the MassResistance Donor's Teet

I've been blogging for awhile now about how most of the money collected by MassResistance goes into Brian Camenker's pockets. This was confirmed this week by Ethan Jacobs of BayWindows:
Camenker’s anti-LGBT non-profit group Parents Education Foundation (the public education branch of MassResistance) paid Camenker $49,200 in 2007 for his role as president of the organization. What’s even more surprising is that over that same year the group only took in $56,226 in donations and other sources of revenue. About 88 percent of all the money coming into Parents Education Foundation went right into Camenker’s wallet.

Surprisingly, Ethan notes that MFI's leader, Kris Mineau, who works a 40 hour week only makes about $41,000 for his anti-gay work yet Brian only clocks in 25 hours a week. Who do you think OK's his salary because on the Mass. Secretary of State's website Brian is not only the President but the treasurer too.

5 years Ago Today

It was 5 years ago today when I read the decision at the Court house. Having never read one before I didn't know where to look, but my husband on the phone telling me to flip the page, flip the page and there is was. Tears welled up in my eyes when I read it. Enjoy:
Marriage is a vital social institution. The exclusive commitment of two individuals to each other nurtures love and mutual support; it brings stability to our society. For those who choose to marry, and for their children, marriage provides an abundance of legal, financial, and social benefits. In return it imposes weighty legal, financial, and social obligations. The question before us is whether, consistent with the Massachusetts Constitution, the Commonwealth may deny the protections, benefits, and obligations conferred by civil marriage to two individuals of the same sex who wish to marry. We conclude that it may not. The Massachusetts Constitution affirms the dignity and equality of all individuals. It forbids the creation of second-class citizens.
And the only thing that has changed is that families are stronger and more protected.

MFI's Future of Marriage Forum

Today I attended the “Future of Marriage: Five Years After Goodridge” at the Suffolk University Law School. The forum was put on by the Massachusetts Family Institute and included Maggie Gallagher, Jeff Jacoby, Phil Moran and David Parker. Kris Mineau of MFI was supposed to be the moderator but essentially just played Emcee because all of the panel just gave speeches.

I arrived a few minutes before the start of the event. Have you ever been to a wake? If so you know what the atmosphere was like.

Just to remind you, the topic was the “Future of Marriage”.

First up was Maggie Gallagher who talked for about a half hour immediately asking the crowd to identify whether they were for or against gay marriage. Dividing the crowd is always a good ice breaker. All that stuck out from her talk was that she doesn’t like being called a bigot. That seems to be the biggest concern from her side, they don’t like to be called haters even though they want to take away people’s rights. She doesn’t believe it is bigotry to recognize that there is a special unique relationship between men and women and we should give them special rights. She says she has a dim view of the U.S. if marriage is redefined.

Jeff Jacoby was up next and to be honest, he was a bore. He blames Frank Rich of the NY Times for starting the “haters and zealots” language when Frank equated San Francisco’s marriages in 2004 to the racial discrimination in the south at the lunch counters. He doesn’t believe it’s a civil right even though several civil rights leaders who marched in the south do.

Then some lawyer who is the President of the Pro-Life Legal Defense Fund goes up and just reads from the Goodridge decision. He, like MassResistance, believes that marriage equality is not legal in Massachusetts and blames Mitt Romney for issuing the marriage licenses.

Finally, David “Mad Dad” Parker gets his chance. He blames marriage equality for his arrest, again, he never mentions that he chose to be arrested after being told if he didn’t leave he would get arrested. He believes that homosexuals want to indoctrinate children with their books and lessons. Side note to David: I went to elementary school and read all those lovely heterosexual stories, Cinderella, Snow White, etc… and I’m still gay.

In all, they didn’t talk about the future of marriage at all. They all were just living in the past and didn’t want to be called bigots.

Update: Massmarrier over at Marry in Massachusetts was also there at the forum. Check out his version of the event.

MassResistance: Psychic HQ's?

Well, Brian is at it again, he's reading the minds of gay people. Get this from their latest email update:

3. Commentary: The real reason they're so enraged.

On the surface, it would seem strange that the homosexual movement is so enraged at the passing of Proposition 8. California already had a domestic partnership statute that gave same-sex couples all of the significant rights and obligations traditionally associated with the institution of marriage. Proposition 8 doesn't change that. Prop 8 only deals with the word "marriage". It simply says, "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California."

Like the recent weak Massachusetts marriage amendment, it allows any kind of exact copy of marriage. So they already have everything they want. But they don't really have what they want. They're not that interested in technical rights.

They want acceptance. They want acceptance of homosexuality to be forced on a society that would never accept it without coercion. That's why the word "marriage" is much more important to them than the rights and obligations of marriage.

At a very visceral, emotional level they want all of society's institutions -- the schools, government, business, media, etc. -- to recognize homosexual behavior as a natural equivalent to heterosexuality. That's why the word "equal" is a part of so many of their activities and organizations.

But humanity being what it is, over all these thousands of years, the radicals know that what they want won't ever happen on its own. Ultimately, a human court or legislature can't repeal the laws of nature. That's a big problem for them.

Oh Brian, Brian, where DO you get your ideas? We could care less if you accept us. We're here, we're queer and we're not going to go away no matter how many times you change the name of your organizations. We pay taxes, just like you and we should be treated, just like you.

Oh, and the biggest problem with your "argument" against equal rights for gays and lesbians...homosexuality IS natural, check out the animal kingdom Brian. Remember that book about the Penguins? Yeah, it's not fiction.

She's Ba-ck! Again.

Ms. MassResistance, like a vampire resurrected from the dead, is back again after almost 6 months in hiding. She first appeared yesterday with some nonsense about fascists then another post today about "Satanic Trannies". She also hasn't stopped the fear mongering:
Their banner in Wikipedia says, "These faggots kill fascists." The group is gearing up all over the country, no doubt soon joining the fray in Massachusetts.

"They'll be here soon in Massachusetts". Hmm...Ms. MassResistance, if Marriage Equality is the root of all evil, why didn't these "rogue" groups start here? I mean, according to your logic, anything you deem evil should all start in Massachusetts since same sex couples can marry here (and now Connecticut). Brian Camenker even confirmed this in his interview on the Daily Show where he claimed to be able to link gay marriage to everything.

I had never heard of these "Satanic Trannies", so a big thank you goes out to MassResistance for telling us all about them. I find it strange though, MassResistance is equating these people, and I don't know much about them, with GLBT people in Mass, yet when MassResistance is equated with their counter parts, groups like Fred Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church and Neo-Nazi's, groups that target and protest all things gay, they go berserk. Maybe they're afraid these "Satanic Trannies" will be going after them?

Is MassResistance Taking Credit for National Anti-Gay Marriage Amendments Passing?

Read this from the MassResistance Website:
We also know that the MassResistance article "What same-sex 'marriage' has done to Massachusetts," was used extensively in California and Florida (and somewhat in Arizona), emailed, re-posted on websites, and sent as op-eds to newspapers. We were also interviewed on radio shows in Florida and California about that article.

I guess the people who might have read MassResistance's garbage didn't know that it was all BullS**t.

One of their ridiculous bullets in that article was that:
It’s become commonplace in Massachusetts schools for teachers to prominently display photos of their same-sex “spouses” and occasionally bring them to school
functions.
OOH, that's so radical, having pictures of a loved one or this:
All insurance in Massachusetts must now recognize same-sex “married” couples in their coverage. This includes auto insurance, health insurance, life insurance, etc.

Those silly gays, they want to protect their families by providing for them now and if something happens to them, they're immoral!

Brian Camenker is not successful with his gay hating tactics in Massachusetts and is looking for a bigger stage to beg money from since it appears that MassResistance pays his salary. MassResistance has been successful in uniting unlikely parties against their silly repeal of the racist 1913 law, it united both gay and other anti-gay organizations against them, now that's something to talk about.

MassResistance, in every posting on their website and every press release they put out, ensures that they will once again be listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center for years to come. Congratulations Brian!

We ARE the United States of America

Hello, Chicago.

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

It's the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen, by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different, that their voices could be that difference.

It's the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled. Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been just a collection of individuals or a collection of red states and blue states.

We are, and always will be, the United States of America.

I'm Still Waiting for Their Post about Their Stripper Employee too.

Well, I wrote too soon. Yesterday I blogged about MassResistance failure at even getting one half of the signatures needed to repeal the racist anti-gay 1913 law. I even mentioned how they pulled all the information about the drive from their website, then lo and behold they put up a BS story about how they are now stronger than ever:

Referendum petition drive comes up short. Would have forced state-wide vote on
Legislature's repeal of "1913" law.

This was a fight about principle -against overwhelming opposition and suppression from all sides. One result: MassResistance now stronger.

If you read between the lines it means that Brian needs more money to run the HUGE organization that MassResistance has become so you better contribute because his bills won't be paid by wishing.

Of course, the do a lot of blaming and they blame the gays, again:
Homosexual activists terrorized our petition gatherers across the state. They would come up to them and scream horrible things, and then call the police (or store managers) with phony complaints and charges. It happened constantly. Homosexual websites sometimes tracked our signature-gathering activities. And they even tried to intimidate the MassResistance office by sending us a stream of obscene emails.
They make all these claims but have no facts to back them up. I would love to know which homosexual websites tracked them. With the exception of one article in BayWindows about the anti-gays collecting signatures at the Burlington mall, they got no publicity good or bad.

Yes, they point a lot of fingers except to recognize the three fingers that are pointing back at them.

Massachusetts is finally becoming aware of the hate group that dwells within its borders and proudly taking its place in history. Fortunately, Brian Camenker is also taking his place in history. Unfortunately for Brian, history will not be complimentary to him.
